Maybe, maybe not. Really depends on when the new anti siphoning laws come into force. They won't require a new TV deal to make a difference, they'll just change the conditions under which the existing deal needs to operate.

so why in gods name do 9 not show it one of their other channels like GO or GEM? You would think any sport would rate higher than some crappy film?

I don't think any network will put the NRL into any other state live consistently but at the very least once the AS legislation is put through it will be on GO/GEM or 7mate if they make a play

Well they're not even showing FNF in Sydney on Nine next week cause of the royal wedding and shafting it to GEM. All well and good if you've got a HD tv but for those of us that don't.... well thanks Nine.
