Halloween is better than Full Metal Jacket, The Godfather, Carrie, American History X, Training Day, The Machinist, Lost Highway, Oldboys, Ringuu...Most of the mass-produced Hollywood stuff is crap - The Departed was no better than Infernal Affairs - but you seem to be forgetting that a lot oven stuff gets released even these days that is really quite superb.
