Toopi get out, i never want to see you in a Warriors jersey again.
Meli, you suck also.

Lance you did better than i thought you would, especially in that second half.

This team is leading me into an early grave....

Toopi and Meli actually conspired to erode our lead and cost us that game. It was a pretty good effort from the Terrible Twosome.
I usually don't bag out my team's players, but this time I feel totally justified.

Oh, and well done Lance. You surprised me.

Agree with comments re Toopi:

He gave away vital penalties
threw shocking passes
missed tackles
completed ineffective tackles
out of position
did not really offer an attacking options

Disappointing for a senior player.

Tony Kemp ... it is up to you now to drop him..

replacements:
Wairangi
Sione
Misi
Baxter
Mannering

Interesting comment raised earlier with regard to the backs not performing. The club purchased 4 players this year, 3 forwards and only 1 back. The weakness was always centre/ wing / stand off but Mr Kemp & cop failed to address this area adequately. Shame about Martin's injury but he has a history of injuries.

He's been doing this since 2004, he's dead set the most dumbest drop kick in the NRL with Betham & Meli coming a close second and third.
If Kemp hasnt dropped him since then im sure he wont drop him now :(

I'd give him one last chance on the wing (Toopi), because he did show some good touch on attack, and the ability to get through the line isn't something we have a lot of out wide. It might send a signal to him that the next stop is Bartercard with his mate Francis back there to try and regain some confidence. I haven't given Meli the benefit of the doubt because he hasn't offered anything in attack.

Misi Taulapapa and Rowan Baxter will be chomping at the bit to take their place. Baxter is going awesome in Bartercard from all reports, as well as Robinson Godfrey. All three of those loads will be hoping Kemp does the right thing with Meli, and eventually Toopi.

I'd expect to see Mannering in the centres this week. As far as not purchasing outsiders, I'd say with Jones going they'll try and get a half/five eighth, and a center, and with Guttenbeil and Betham probably in their last season at Ericsson a good backrower. I'd suggest though, in fairness to this year's recruitment that there is certainly enough talent outwide coming through locally with Baxter, Vuna, Taulapapa, Godfrey and another young star Marvin Filipo all capable enough.

The one positive thing perhaps is that we may be able to field a decent halves combo from what we already have - if they put Hohaia to 7. He's not a five eighth, he thrives on being the primary organiser. He did it well in the second half. Put Fien to five eighth where I think he'll be suited well.

I thought Hohaia was completely shit :? I mean jeez, he's playing half back and he can't even pass. The only reason the kicking game "improved" in the second half was because he persistently kicked on the 4th tackle, when the fullbacks and wings aren't back. Anyone can do that.

I think the balance of the side is more important than the "forwards good, backs shit" thing. It's always going to be a struggle for the backs when none of the forwards has any attacking ability whatsoever (and when you have a halfback and a hooker who can't pass!).

Sorry to say but your defence was terrible. The only thing that kept you in the game were costly individual errors by our players that led us to the brink of defeat. Credit to the Warriors for capitalising on this, but we should've been well in control.

Our Forward pack is one of the best assembled in Warriors colours. The back are letting us down AGAIN

Yep - but the forwards are playing a relatively structured game, and the backs are lacking in fundamental skills, organisation, but seem to have some inherent belief in some superior talent they've been told they have... (by prats like Graham Lowe, who would say the Warriors are stifled by structure... didn't he lose a test to PNG???)

Seriously, when DA was coach they played and organised simple game, and the flourishes were confined largely to appropriate times and places... Now, yet again they have no idea. Obvioulsy some players had had enough of Anderson, but surely it's time to realise that Kemp's not the answer (if he is the answer, it's pretty difficult to work out what the question is).

I do wonder what a coach like Gould or Ryan could do with a sqaud like the Warriors - they could only coach then for a couple of years, but....
