I wasn't there but i hear that our representation was quite poor, anyone want to confirm or deny it?

how was it?

what was our Merch stand like?

were the players accesible?

were all our players there?

it would be very interesting to see how we came across especially given the rumours I'm hearing that there will be no individual fanday this year.

Just a message on facebook about tomorrow.. Had to laugh at this bit

Note; Due to time constraints and the large volume of people who will be at Fan Day, it will not be possible for you to get the autograph of every player from your favourite team. NRL Club Fan Days will be another great opportunity to get autograpghs from your favourite players. Information on Club Fan Days can be found on your club website or by contact your club.

I don't know if that is a consideration.

maybe it is the feeling of the club that having an NRL fan Day and a Club Fan Day so close together is counter productive. But you would have to ask the club that. All I hear is that there will be an event during the year. If it is called Fan Day or not I can't tell you.

I thought the point of club fan days before the season was that they were kind of like a defacto season launch involving the fans, come along, meet the players, especially any new ones get some autographs for the kids and get excited about the season?

Even if they are planning an event later in the year, I bet it will be limited to either Blue and Gold Army members and/or season ticket holders and will be classed as one of the events as part of membership

Round 1 v Bulldogs.
I know I'm looking forward to that.
Us country people never get anything, if they had the NRL fan day on a Sunday and not Saturday then a lot more country people could attend.
But the NRL has forgotten the bush haven't they?
I sell heaps of NRL gear up here the NRL gets their cut of that.

maybe you should drop an e-mail to them on behalf of the country folk who spport our club.

I'd be surprised if you don't get any sort of response from them.

from what i saw -

the setup of the fan day was each club split their players into groups of about 5 players each.
in the afternoon, each group was meant to go and do something - corporate sponsors, fan autographs, coaching clinics, community rugby league etc at different times.

parramatta decided to jump in their bus before the scheduled finish, so the organisers had go without the eels for some of the events that they were involved in.

not really a big deal - the other clubs were still there, so all the events went on.

well its not really good if our guys bugger off while all the others stick around .... i'm sure plenty of others would have liked to jump on their bus too

I'm hearing that eelz47 is an intelligent person who can, in fact, spell and count quite well and never hurts himself or does anything stupid. But you can't believe everything that you hear ;-)

Hope the fact that there is no fan day at the start of the year wasn't a cost cutting exercise by the club

I didn't attend but from what I have heard 4 of our players (no prizes for guessing who) left after they had ther team photo taken, and before they had to mingle with fans. They were missing for the massive team shot.

It would be refreshing if these players had to face consequences for this, but the club won't do anything.

If all the other teams and players from the other clubs can hang around and fulfil the day's duties, then I believe there is no excuse for our players to piss off just because they don't want to deal with the kids.

Poor form.
