It shows a lack of respect for the games tradition.
100 years of rugby league.
If 100 years ago no one cared enough to goto the meeting to form the NSWRFL then these guys wouldn't have a high paying job that keeps them fit and healthy and has plenty of perks.

But that's pedantic. She could have said that Eric "may have left early beacuse of his pneumonia". Pretty important fact to leave out tbh.

This is gunna sound funny, but IMO his pnemonia is probably not enough to have exempt him from the Major photo. Unless other clubs requested him not to be there so as to not contaminate their players.

Yes i to went to this event and was very dissapointed with the involvement or lack of involvement the club had. I saw South's Players Storm Players and Knights players all signing autograph's the stall was even worse no free poster or anything.

I was quite let down that our club didnt really seemed interested to be involved in something that was once a lifetime oppurtunity.

Really though, is anyone actually surprised that our club seemed to be piss poor at this event?

Remember, this is the same club that dont have after match functions because the players need to 'warm down' at the rose and crown.

Not too long ago, we led the league in fan relations IMO.

I would actually like to see the club form a committee, say 'Community/Fan Relations Committee'. Couple of fan reps, players reps, board reps etc and start to work on really building a bridge, not just between the club and fans, but local community as a whole.

I think that is stating the obvious.

To be honest we have been talking about these things now for almost 3 years now. We have almost finished a very detailed and complex report for the Board. It has taken a long time because we also have lives and jobs. But if this was someones job, I would have expected this sort of thing would be created Yearly, in the Post Season, so as to have a strategic plan ready to execute by the time the Players came back from their Break in November. I don't think we are talking about money here, we are talking about commitment and how our fans are related to.

It would have events Planed, with at least Dates Published and Ready to hand out to B&G Army members by the time the new membership packs are ready to go out.

The Players would be aware of them long range, so as to know not to make plans for those times.

Why the Enter Merchandise Van used at home games was not at ANZ, Baffels me, apart from it not being allowed (Which is a possibility but I don't know).

great idea...you can also add sponsors to the mix.
