you're telling me that souths and west tigers wouldn't bring 17k each to the game?

Keep it at leichardt this year, but this fixture needs to be swapped with a poor drawing team in Sydney next year; Raiders, Manly, Newcastle etc. That way you can still have your 3 traditional games at Leichardt each year, which is very important to the club and rugby league IMO.

And 34K at telstra would look HORRIBLE..thanks for just confirming that. Fair dinkum it is better to have a 20K sellout, than a 35K half full stadium with absolute ZERO atmosphere at Telstra Stadium. Add to that this fixture has tradition. Why not move the Saints/Sharks game at Kograh becuase they sell out regularly as well..why not make them move. Fair dinkum, if you want to go to the game..you can IT IS NOT SOLD OUT yet!

On Behalf of the Wests Tigers We agree to South Sydney's request to move this game to Telstra.

All that Wests Tigers ask is that they kick off.

South Sydney if you find we do not show up at Telstra it means we have gone back on our word The Tigers at Leichhardt have already kicked off, scored a try and won the game.

Hang on a second, no team would ever go back on an agreement like that would they;-)

Only fans that I've seen that have no teeth are souths and tigers fans, of which I am neither. Quite ironic really, considering the thread.

Excuse me. Your poor use of the English language led me astray.

You just dont get it...

The opposition is only part of it...the ground itself is the crux of the whole matter.

Opposition fans hate the joint, call it a dump, and a dump it may be...but most WTs fans love the joint, me included.

BTW....wheres this 17k last mon nite?

 Comparing a warm sunday afternoon game at 3pm to a cold, wet monday night game at 7pm.

Anyway, looking forward to Fitzhenry vs Mellor.... game will be decided on whoever wins that battle :D

Bloody hell ever since Souths have become half decent they seem to think the comp revolves around them. What will happen if they ever win one?!

No way in hell this game will be moved. My mates who are Souths fans can't wait for Sunday, a lot because its at Leichhardt Oval. I still don't see why Souths are whinging?? Theres still 25% of tickets available. If the game was sold out a week beforehand I could cop it. Like smeg said the tickets have been on sale for 3 weeks now.

Yobbo, you were obviously sitting with the burrow at the previous games and couldnt see to far from it. No way in hell there have been close to even 40% of Souths fans at the den the last few years. Just wait til the teams run out to hear who has the most supporters.

LOL@SOUFFS. You dont have 46 point in you!!! Over the next 2 weeks!!!

But its more like the penalty count, seeing the NRL is giving you a free ride.

the S&M dungeons under the old grandstands wouldn't look out of place in a NIN film clip.

Surely you jest. The vast majority of available tickets at Telstra Stadium for regular season matches are NOT undercover.

Bottom line is - cold and wet weather will keep fans away - especially the type experienced last weekend.

Not entirely true, whilst weather has some effect - if fans want to show up they will.

Canterbury despite poor form, got 20k+ on a crappy monday night against the roosters - which i think was about 7k more than they got a week or two before for a friday night game - when the weather wasn't so terrible.

Good on the Tigers for sticking it to the rabbits and keeping the game at Liechardt. Last season Souths could barely get 8k of thier own supporters to a game and now all of a sudden they come out of the woodwork and a team is meant to make concessions for them? Stuff that.

And what happens if it was moved to telstra and souths lost? Will 10k of thier so called supporters walk out with 25 to go like they did against Canterbury at the beginning of the season?

Just hope the Tigers smash them this weekend. I am sick of the dribble from richo, rusty and holmes - a - hypen.

Tigers keep game where they want it, end of story

Although it would be amusing to see Souths spouting this stuff about 40k, getting the game moved, and on Sunday morning there is a tiny bit of drizzle so the Souths supporters stay at home and get 20k

Exactly right.

It's almost like asking Manly to switch from Brookvale Oval to play Parramatta at SFS, because they should think 'about the crowds'.

Without having a go at Souths - if they had a 20k stadium of their own with a pretty good record at the ground, do their fans honestly believe that they'd switch it to a bigger venue for a crunch match like this weekend 'for the good of the game'?

We did that in 2006 :?

Win or lose this Sunday, Souffs will still be in line for the semis...and with a final round showdown at home against arch rivals, the Chooks....I think they'll be predicting, oh...45,000-50,000??? maybe a bit extreme eh...well 40,000 shouldnt pose a problem....that of course is what we wouldve gotten this Sunday had we moved our game to telstra.

Souffs...hehe, youve put yourselves under pressure you fkwits.....it will be time to put up or stfu!
