I think whoever it is needs to be a fresh face - cameron smith is running out of scalps and he needs a few more before he finishes up, Peats and the newly crowned GOAT Austin would fill out his illegally acquired trophy cabinet.

why not throw peats in and groom him. somebody has to take over the role once farah retires.

9. Peats

14. Hinchcliffe (replacing cordner)

once farah comes back throw peats in at 14. has to be better than having a useless hole running second rower when you need a spark.

What's the record tackle count in Origin?

If Farah plays he's gonna be targeted all night long. He's normally between 50-60 tackles as it is.

What would you guys think of putting Peats on the bench and starting Farah (Ennis if Farah is out). We didn't use the 4 forward bench well in game 1 anyway. Gallen, Scott, Merrin & Hoffman are capable of playing 80 minutes, Woods could play 60 easily. If Farah gets injured during the game you have a specialist hooker, if he doesn't you bring Peats on for 20 minutes in the 2nd half to play the same role as DCE does for QLD. Something like:

8. Woods
9. Farah/Ennis
10. Gallen
11. Scott
12. Hoffman
13. Merrin

14. Peats
15. Klemmer
16. Tamou
17. Fifita/Frizell

I dont mind the idea but Id prefer someone like Hinchcliffe or even Aubusson who can easily play in the backrow if needed. Not sure Peats would be suited to that

big hit!
