The media do the same thing in Sydney BTW with potential players to union.Nothing better to report I guess.

Farrell is 30 years old and takes up 1.2 mil of Wigans salary cap......take it from a person who knows he is going to Union to set up his retirement fund.
He has played for Wigan since he was 16 years old...Wigan has seen the best of him.
Wigan can then spend that money on developing another few players. :mrgreen:

I think its a bad call. He's past his used by date. If the English rugby union want to throw that type of money around for a player nearly over the hill why not throw that money at some development schemes. They would get more value for their buck.

As he is leaving RL his last act of service to his club Wigan is to get a sh$t load of money for himself and club from RU.

The RFU would have been wiser investing in junior development than on Farrell.
