I remember Brett Stewart had olympic qualifying speed, I cannot remember his exact figures, but they were 10 something over 100m

Here's a list of some of the quickest players IMO:

Phil Graham
Matt Bowen
Amos Roberts
Michael Jennings
Greg Inglis
Billy Slater
William Zillman
Eric Grothe Jr
Michael Crockett
Jarryd Hickey

Eric Grothe is slow off the mark, but you have to watch this guy chase someone down. He can absolutly fly Grothe.

The Amos story is like Grothe snr.

Never knew how fast he was as he only ran as fast as he had too.

I think 2 years ago, Burt was listed as the fastest at the Eels over 40m. Don't know how he'll cope after his knee injury though.

Disagree re: Zillman. He has quick acceleration over 20m or so but I doubt he'd blow wind up any of the other boys there.

imo Rhys Wesser is the fastest in the NRL..
along with Eric Grothe, Amos Roberts and Brett Stewart

Didn't he got mowed down by speed machine Bryan Norrie?

Be interesting to see Wesser at full pace again. In 2005 he blew off Brett Stewart with ease.

Zilly is quick but it seems every time he gets into clear space he cops a last minute ankle tap that slows him right down, i dont think we've seen him in the clear properly with space to show his speed yet. But i wouldnt say he is in the top speedsters in the game, he's quick but not in the Brent Stewart, Greg Inglis, Chris Lawrence league... David Milne is very quick but imo Phil Graham is probably canberra's quickest...

Inglis i recon is the quickest in the game, i dont think ive ever seen him run down or beaten for pace, and ive never seen him look like he's at full pace either... he goes a quickly as he needs too but always seems to have another gear to hit

Shannon McDonnel is very freaking quick.

Unfortunatley that is all he has shown so far.

When Inglis made a break v Roosters last year, he broke the line at halfway, Roberts was trailing by 50 metres, by 5 metres from the tryline, Roberts caught Inglis but couldn't bring him down before the line. Watching those two fly at full pace was amazing, i've never seen Roberts turn it on like that, he flew.

Seen him on the footy show race against Phil, Shif and someone else....Zilly came last.

He is not that quick to earn the tag of speedster. And yes, he was run down by Norrie.

I think Phil is noticably slower after his knee recon too.

i recall that and again, it looked to me as if inglis was going as quickly as he needed to in order to get to the line without too much bother, probably under estimated Roberts abit too. Too me it looked like Inglis was in 3rd gear there

I think both of them were flat out. The fastest blokes always have the ability to be going at full speed but not look like it. Phil Graham doesn't look fast from the way he runs, neither does Roberts or Inglis, they all glide, long strides & an almost slow motion look.

And Roberts isn't the fastest, nor is he underrated. He was underrated in 04/05/06, but this year he was been simply crap.

Would love to see them in a foot race against Mullins, at worst it'd be the most graceful foot race of all time
