Chelski are reportedly preparing to sell Frank Lampard due to fears that he could disrupt dressing-room harmony at Stamford Bridge.

The sensational claim is made in The Daily Mirror after reports that Lampard is still mourning the departure of Jose Mourinho.

According to the newspaper, 'Stamford Bridge chiefs are determined to unite the squad behind Avram Grant' and 'are ready to risk another fan backlash by selling Frank Lampard over fears his loyalty to Jose Mourinho could disrupt the dressing room.'

Even before Mourinho's sudden ousting, Lampard had plunged his future at Chelski into doubt by refusing to sign a new contract.

'And Real Madrid are set to take advantage of the growing rift between Lampard and the club by making a £9million bid to land the England midfielder in January,' says the Mirror.

Fat Frank would never survive in Italian football.

He wouldn't survive in Spain unless at a pretty boy club (Real Madrid).

The only other options to avoid his career heavily declining are to stay in England or play for Celtic.

He suits English football besides being a player that likes to be the ONLY player on the team. And is still sh*t.

Otherwise I just think he would fit in at Celtic. They also perform reasonably in Europe so a bonus.

this was floating around before mourinho left that we would go to spain they were supposedly pissed off lampard wanted an extra ten thousand pounds a month. it won't be the transfer fee that's a problem but the wage he will demand. to side track drogba is a given to go wherever mourinho does.

How many out and out midifielders in the world bang 20 in for fun each season? The argument that he shoots all the time doesn't hold water as he has consistently been Chelsea's leading goal assist player.

He is a unique player.

I beleive Lampard will only leave in the case of following Mourinho. If Mourinho picks up a big club in Italy or Spain, Lamps might go. However Chelsea can ill afford to lose a much loved player and further disenchant the supporters. I think Mr Abramovich and Kenyon will be awake to this fact!
