I have lost count of the times I have seen em mate. Wish the Aus film industry had the funds to make more of those type. There are so many legend Aussie stories that are only found on paper, that would shart over that Yank crap.

I agree we can make more war films that depict Australians at war, nowbody has made a movie about the war in Crete were Australians and Greeks fought valiantly against the Nazis..bloody Turning point of the War.

I agree there mate.

But dont forget that the first defeat of the Germans in World War II was from the battle of El Aleamain ( which was credited as an allied Victory ) to appease the public in England for a lift/victory, when the Aussies were the brunt of that Victory. Not to mention the Tobruk seige, which was the thorn in the side of Rommel and the Africa Corps in taking Egyt.

And then there is the victory against the Japs at Milne Bay ( Proir to kokoda and Gaudal Canal yanks even ) which was the FIRST victory against Japan in world war two.

Not many countries can FACTUALLY , and historically ( If you blow the dust from the pages of the books where the truth and facts are actually hidden ) be accredited to this.

But even more so the REAL story of the Light Horse in Palestine ( who were NEVER defeated in those campaigns ) even history hiding the truth about Lawrence of Arabia being first into the Damascus etc.

The Light Horse ripped em a new arse hole mate.

Not to mention us being used as storm troopers throughout world war 1 suffering more casualties to fighting by percentage of population than ANY other country counting England France and Germany.

( Dont start me mate. LMAO.... ). ;-) :-# :-#

Shame about the funds though. kids these days only know about gallipoli and even that is very limited.
