Favourite Gridiron Movie

That would be "Brian's Song" (With Gayle Sayers).... very sad story... I remember reading the book when I was a kid.

I didn't know "junction boys" was filmed in Australia! It is a good movie.

For me, I thought Any Given Sunday was sh*te!

My favorite part of "the longest yard" (original) was the drop goal... only one I'd seen in gridiron until Doug Flutie did it last year.

I would say Friday Night Lights would have to be my all time favorite football movie.

Why don't they make rugby (either code) movies? I'd think that they would be hugely popular.

It wouldn't be the same...

Although NFL is a national sport and RL and RU are enjoyed at international levels, there is a great, rich history of sporting richness in the NFL that is different...

I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it's because there is so much stoppage in an NFL game that it translates into tension on screen...Don't know.

Just saw Friday Night Lights and it made me vomit. The football scenes were allright but it was just like Pearl Harbour in that all the rest was real mushy crap.

The Program is my favourite for sure.
