Mateo is killing it atm. Inu was as well but think he got dropped for a week for discipline reasons. They will probably be even better utilised under a coach like Bluey if he gets the gig as well.

Mateo was always killing it.

His problem was never that he doesn't win games, it's that he loses games too.

Fair enough there's room for players like that in any club but for $400k+ a player's worst game should be 'quiet', not 'diabolical'.

Mateo at his best is good enough for Australia/NZ/Origin. At his worst he should be playing reserve grade.

That's why he's never played proper rep footy (i.e. Aus/NZ/Origin).

Mateo is leading the warriors in almost every statistical category.

That proof that he isnt 'lazy'. He wanted to do more for parra but was held back by anderson.

He's pretty lazy in defence.

In attack his fault is lack of discipline/control.

That's because no-one has stats on "not trying to make a tackle" and it's also hard to find "missed tackles" or "arm grabs that could have been easily made had the player made a proper attempt at a tackle".

Theres no way that any of his performances have lost us games this season. Still waiting to see one of these 'diabolical' performances you talk of as well.....maybe (seems impossible to a lot of Eels fans) is that Mateo is actually a very good player who is playing to his potential now and is having a great season and is actually due some credit. Had an absolute cracker of a game on Sunday.

Feleti is best off the bench after 20/25 minutes as he was this week with the Warriors, that was where he was outstanding in the run to the GF in 2009.

Starting Feleti is not a good move as early work dulls his game, not sure he is worth the cash he is apparently getting as he is an impact player.

Having said that, for the right cash would have him back in a heartbeat. Inu has little interest in being over the ditch, went there because Feleti wanted a companion, still better than the numpties we have on the wing this year.

Good luck to them both - $700k off our salary cap (but still being paid by the Warriors to the boys), and my game day stress levels massively reduced!!! win-win!
