Fifita to the dragons?

There’s an article in the herald saying the dragons are considering signing him for the remainder of the season. Apparently he has a good relationship with griffin.

what would everyone think of this?

personally I’d hate to see him play for another club now, especially against us and especially for the dragons. I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes but surely he offers more than some if not all of our current bench.

the article mentions he is on 850k for this and next year, so it would free up some cash depending on how much the dragons were willing to pay him.

So, there’s a couple of things at play here I suspect.
A couple of years ago, Fifita was reported to have taken a $100k pay cut to help our cap situation, but the reality is, he wouldn’t have forgone that payment, it would have been pushed to the end of his contract, making his last years very expensive.
I reckon Morris has played the old ‘you’re free to find another club, as if you stay here, you’ll be playing reserve grade’ in a bid to force him out of the club (like Panthers did with Mansour), but Fifita has called their bluff. That’s the only possible reason he’s not making the squad. I reckon they thought they might be able to force him off to super league.

If he stays I’m ok with it, great service so be it if we have to cop it on the salary cap.
But won’t be disappointed if he goes either.

He'll get another crack. Just gotta work hard for it. No guaranteed spot anymore, that's reserved for Chad.

So here's how it goes,
This Chamas chap struggles to get a headline, he hooks onto his colleagues old "lead" , Weirdler, from a couple of weeks ago, the one where Gallen debunked it on 100% Footy.
Weirdler has stopped going on about it but urges his junior to keep the blood flowing.
A-Fi spotted talking to Griffin at the St. George game.... really?!?!?
I saw SJ talking to Andrew McFadden on Sunday in the tunnel.. "oh know, SJ is off to the Raiders!!!!"
A-Fi knows Griffin from the Tongan team, SJ knows McFadden from his Warrior days.
So Chamas needs his story, he knows if he puts it up on a Monday Gal will debunk it, so he puts it up on a Tuesday so it may get some legs before squashed, plenty of click bait.
Have any of you ever seen Chamas on the NRL.com or the Sunday Footy Show?? The guy is on the Hoops level of cliched dumbness that cannot hide the fact that he actually doesn't know anything about the game that he is trying to make a living out of.

This. I can cop if there's 3 stars in front of him, but there's not. Yeah he played busted last year but either he has recovered or shouldnt be playing at all. If he's not back by week 4, bomber has lost me

I’m not buying into anything.

The way it’s reported is that bomber hasn’t spoken to Fifita and he feels left out. We know that’s not the case.

Dragons intentions may be correct to enquire but we haven’t screwed Andrew in any way. He has a contract to be a sharks player not a first grade player.
