If we only commented on facts, there goes 90% of the content on here and 100% of the good content.

True.

There is clearly something going on here though, people keep saying play him based on the player he used to be. I'm happy to go with the coach's instinct on this one.

Just imagine his first game against us.

He will absolutely ATTEMPT to tear us to shreds!

Whether he succeeds is another story!

This looks like it’s gaining some serious traction. Makes me sick.

The successful clubs ala Melbourne/Roosters know when to move on from a player. And that's a big part of why they're successful. They manage their cap so there's no dead money in players underperforming or past their best.

Fifita has been great for us, but he turns 32 this year and his knees are fooked. We're simply not getting out 850k value out of him, and if it means we can snag some serious weapons along with our other cash I'm all for it.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/03/24...-grade-how-dragons-move-could-benefit-sharks/

"He has been training hard, and he is still working on the stuff they want him to work on to get back into the side," Moylan said. "He really just wants to play first grade, obviously, and he is doing everything he can to get back there."

Sharks prop Braden Hamlin-Uele told the NRL.com preview podcast that Fifita would be ready to go in the NRL whenever he gets recalled.

“He’s been nothing but phenomenal. You never see him with a frown on his face. All this stuff in the media, that’s in the media.

“He comes to us with a smile on his face and is raring to go.

“He’s always on the front foot and is a good part of the group because he’s never negative. Whatever’s happening in his life he doesn’t bring it to work and I’ve never seen big Drew negative.

“In terms of his knee he’s looking fit. He’s lost a few kgs. I’ve never seen him this fit. He’ll keep biding his time.”
--

Positive if the club is clearly communicating its expectations and Burrito is responding. Shedding 20kg is no mean feat.

Still, could be a canny move to move on a middle to add some more firepower out wide. I don't suppose anybody is that interested in paying decent coin for Williams? Magoulias?

I'll throw it out there, Fifita is too much of a distraction at training, of course the players love him, coaching staff not so much.

Bomber can drop Fifita whenever he wants. The only valid question here is, should he be in the 17 to win us a f**king game?

When we have magoo, tolman and Williams...the answer is Yes.

Drop him when we get Talakai and Hunt back if you want to play silly buggers.

So if they are moving Fifita on they are pretty stupid in the marketing department to be putting him in the promo shots for Southern Comfort today.

Sharks “marketing”. Hahahahaha that’s a good one!
These clowns have “marketing” in their title but other than making a few videos and Facebook posts they do F.A.
Marketing is a function of sales in every other organisation in the world except Cronulla Sharks FC.
Have they sold one extra ticket in their entire tenure? One extra membership? One piece of merch?

Ross and Willis are champions who work their rings out- the others sheeeesh.
