So to recap Des has signed:

- The Most expensive prop in NRL history (Fifita);
- Probably the 2nd most expensive backrower in the NRL (T-Rex), who doubles as the biggest waste of space in rugby league.
- And 2 promising players to $300k/yr deals before they've even played first grade (Liccha & Klemmer).

Solid work Des.

Yep, I can't explain it. Can't see why they would need another forward unless Ennis and T-Rex are just about to hit the chopping bloke.

Because we are part of a sport that is still in denial about the importance of loyalty so they need to dress the reasoning up

Yeah I love "doing the best for my family" excuse.

Cos his family would've had it bloody tough only getting $750k a year plus a car from Cronulla.

$850k is just absolutely insane money, Matt Scott and James Tamou's combined salary wouldn't be much more than that and they're the starting Australian front rowers.

The big fella better be making 250+ metres a game, kicking goals at 90%, defusing bombs, pulling schooners in the leagues club and cleaning the shitters for that kind of coin.

Are you so f**king dumb that you think someone would bully Andrew Fifita's kid???

Are you so f**king dumb you think Andrew Fifita's kids dad is going to do anything to the little kids who bully Andrew Fifita's kids???

Besides, small children are hardly known for their careful consideration of consequences.

$850k is massive money. And it's not like doggies aren't taking a massive risk either. The bloke plays prop which is the hardest position in the game he will miss a few weeks very year due to origin and will probably ask to box soon as well. And there's also the chance that he turns into TRex or Sandow who fell to shit after getting massive $$$. The payoff is he delivers a premiership. Worth it?

I don't think a prop is capable of delivering a premiership. Sure you need a good pack and Fifita certainly adds to any pack he's in but in terms of a match winner... I think you need a decent spine to capitolise on the gains that he provides.
