Until we know what FKL means - that is speculation.

You don't drop a star player from your side going into the finals who scribbled some bullshit on his wrist.

Unless of course you want to continue the losers brigade for the rest of this clubs existence.

There's not much doubt that it either stands for Free Kieran Loveridge or For Kieran Loveridge. He admitted as much to Flano. Either way it's against the rules and in really poor taste. Shaggs is suggesting that it is ok for him to point to his wrist or whatever.

That's not ok with me if while he is representing my club.

Not that it excuses it but apparently the writing on the strapping was last year. Can anyone confirm that? If it is from last year then It is very good timing from the media to bring it up now.

This thread is full of a lot of "ifs", "buts" and "maybes" LOL

Why get irate when nothing is substantiated?

I work in a prison, many know that and there a dozens of NRL players visiting every month.

Do people think Craig Field doesn't get visits from ex teammates? Did Danny wicks who is now even playing in the NRL? Russell Packer?

Put the brakes on people, this is nothing. Until it is something

Why should we be the only club that follows the rules.

Geez how many knocks does Fifita need.Junior rugby league issues, road rage, now this(yes I know he was visiting a mate but showing support on his arms in a game FFS).I'm getting to the stage he either pulls his head in or f*cks off.Remembering of course he was about to ditch us a couple of years back, to the Dogs.
The club to me is more important than bad publicity on the eve of semis and who knows grand finals.Gorman must be pulling his hair out.
The bleeding Telegraph loves to rip into the NRL ,it's almost a tradition.

You are ok with a player wearing a sharks jersey making an obvious gesture on national tv that supports a convicted killer?
No I'm not. But is it something that needs a suspension? Fine him and make him work with the victims of violent crimes or something. The club needs to make sure all the shit that is written on each and every player is checked.

The fkl certainly fits, but as you say it may not be that at all.

The nrl needs to look at every single player in the comps armbands. Also look at why it's ok for addo Carr, to make the hand over face jail reference. That was a feel good story a few weeks ago.

He doesn't fit the consorting law because they are "family"

Tell Fifita he has made a mistake, cover up his shitty arm strapping, make him apologise to the family for what the strapping perceived. Let him announce he is doing some work with victims of violent crime.

Amongst all the sub plots in the melodrama this is the only thing that is tangible and real IMO at this stage.

It's not OK with me either but it's hardly a hanging offence.

Will have to stop all writing on strapping, especially acronyms, because any of it could mean anything and be offensive to anyone.

I wouldn't have lost any sleep if the judge sentenced Loveridge to swing from a tree but in saying that, How do we know that Fifita hasn't been visiting the bloke trying to help an old friend turn his life around. The bloke isn't going to be locked up forever. (Unfortunately)

I'm actually saying don't make it obvious. Don't write anything in there. Tell the person good, bad or whatever that you are going to point at your knee every time you score, to let them know you are looking at it.

Don't write anything on you that may be taken by the media and twisted to mean something else.

If jimmy Maloney did this would we even be talking at all?

I'm sure the afl has rules about this. Strapping has to be a certain colour etc

Why can't you all see that the people that support the club and sponsor the club don't want someone supporting a convicted killer? If my business was associated with a brand that allows someone to support such a sensitive topic as this one is I'd be strongly considering pulling out. This is the ripple effect that will obviously occur,

We're the kings of the tinfoil hat brigade.

You guys are a good chance of taking out the comp this year

To be honest looking from the outside I don't think Fafita would really be put off by this sort of adverse media attention

I can't see the NRL standing him down for the finals

This year if the information in the following photo is accurate however the pics go back to earlier in the year. Why wasn't it an "issue" then?

Beat up of the highest order.
