Locke/Kata injured, Vete hasn't even played this year due to injury.

Even if they were all fit - no to that team, just no.

Do you actually follow the Warriors, because if you did you would know half that side is out with injuries.

I get the sentiment, I suppose. Last night after the game, I was thinking of posting that it was time (already) for a clean out and to send a few blokes who were under delivering to the NSW cup. But yeah- probably a knee jerk reaction and, in most cases, the guys that are there are the best available.

I sat through all three Warriors games yesterday. Not impressed with any of them. From 6 games this season we have one draw. One draw.
Hurrell & Gubb play with a bit of fire - nobody else put their hands up.

What's with the recruitment? Do we have any? Nielsen is slow and poor. We have (luckily) released Lowrie. Peyroux is average. Bakuyu adds little. Matagi is the best we have added and yet we didn't retain Manu Ma'u. Tomkins will prove his worth but he is being hung out to dry with no support or blockers; plus he is being done over in the tackle and nobody is coming in to support him. Gutless forwards.
And what was that after Tomkins scored? His first try for the Warriors and did anyone rush in and congratulate him? Very strange.
All is not well in Warriorland.

There is no way that team on the park should be getting owned by the Eels and the Dragons.

There is a deep rooted attitude problem that needs sorting out, making a whole bunch of changes will probably make things worse.

Yep, but aside from the Tigers, we've just been towelled by what are probably on paper the next two worst sides in the NRL - and the Eels got a reality check last night.

Selections aren't the problem, nor are injuries... looks more like a systemic issue, coach, management and players - something's wrong, perhaps time for an honesty session - those busting their guts and playing pretty well (Matulino, Friend, Mannering, Matagi, Lillyman, Rapira) and those busting their gut but perhaps not playing at the top of their game (Bukuya, Townsend, Tomkins) should have plenty to say

worst team i think ive ever seen, how can you drop friend? hes one of very few people putting in effort each week. Elliott needs to find the right white:islander ratio..........whiteys keep calm and level headed where as islanders have flair/spark/razzle dazzle but get too hot headed under pressure, throw a decent white second rower into the pack and a white centre and we'd have a premiership winning team

The only changes I think that need to be made are Hurrell for Neilsen, Vatuvei for Fusitua, and Ikahihifo for the injured Henry. I am still staggered that Bell and Bluey though Neilsen and Lowrie were great buys, both were bog standard competitors but nothing more at the Melbourne Storm, Neilsen IMO falls into the Adrian "How the hell did I play Origin" Brunker category. Fusitua was ok yesterday, but he was too flat for the no look pass from Neilsen, and he made one or two very basic errors. Vatuvei will make them too but he will also make you 120 metres a game. FWIW, I think Hurrell isn't that much worse than Neilsen as a defender, but he's a massively better offensive player. Neilsen is called a defensive specialist, because he has no attack at all. None.

Tall poppy syndrome culture in New Zealand. Tomkins, comes in with a bit of hype, takes the spot of one of their own, f**k him. Even in the Brisbane trial, Tomkins was worked over big time in the tackle every single time, and not one teammate took exception. What sort of comraderie is that, you f**king low-life pieces of shit? Is that how you support the new guy who's trying to settle into the team?

It's a rotten culture, to the core.

Agree with suggested changes. The fwds lack go forward so perhaps Gubb could add some spark. Rapira and Matagi need to lift their games. Replace Palavi although not 100% sure who to bring in as look to be short on quality back up 11,12,13.

When are Tommy and Locke back??

I disagree with this thought that the forwards didn't aim up or whatever, I thought they more than matched St Georges forward pack if not won the battle (and a very quick look at the stats seems to back that up) but for too much of the first half we got caught not moving the ball for whole sets at a time outside of the middle 1/3

I thought it was the propping rotations best game in some time

Should be but won't be. That's the problem, the other players know he's playing shit but know he won't get called on it because of his "name" or "pay packet" and the shit attitude starts from there

Yep, the forwards - especially the props/hooker wasn't the problem...

Structure and attitude elsewhere

3 more metres for Rapira, 6 more for Mateo and Matagi (in 35 minutes) and we gave SIX forwards over 100m for the game. The forwards were superior to their opposition yesterday and we still f**ked it up.

There's no will to compete, and we gave too many players who react rather than anticipate or aren't willing to work hard enough off the ball to out themselves in a position to make a change.

Dragons dropped more bombs than us, but at every opportunity they had more bodies around the ball to clean up because our guys had the "not coming my way, sweet, rest time" attitude.

Just watch our marker defense. "Sweet, sending the ball that way, I'll take a breather and amble back".

And this isn't a first grade issue it's an entire club issue through every grade. Even Fusitua when he made that great chase after Widdop's chip kick. Watch the replay, he turns without much urgency, jogs slowly, and it's only when the ball bounces favourably for Widdop that he breaks out into full stride. Praise him for the chase, yes of course, but someone who anticipates rather than reacts would have cut that movement off a lot sooner, or at least putt he passers under more pressure.
