FFP will be fine. In fact, there is some good stuff on The Swiss Ramble that shows City needed to have a two year burst of accelerated spending to get the results to happen (which has) -- to get CL money etc to fit under FFP.

No comments on QPR, realizing they were safe, not defending for the last 5 minutes, kicking the ball away and not trying to equalize after the last goal, and then celebrating their perfectly contrived result with the City players?

But the way the PL has become, it is immpossible to win it (or the CL) without outlay.

Bayern look like winning it without the need for a benefactor.

What a stupid comment. It wasn't full-time in the Stoke/Bolton game until right before Dzeko scored. There's no way the message would've have gotten out in time.

From the looks of it you didn't watch the match either as QPR 'kicked the ball away' from about the 55th minute when Barton went off.

And given his love for Man U and the way he was callously disposed of at City, I'd say Mark Hughes is the last person who'd want City to win it.

Given your predictions on this forum thats an easy Chelsea win and Hughes being done for match fixing againt City... ;-)

After the final goal QPR kicked off and quite deliberately gave the ball to Joe Hart and then made no attempt to get it back. At this stage clearly they realized they were safe. In normal circumstances they would have tried to rush forward and lump the ball hopefully into the box.

When Aguero scored there was still about 90 seconds left. The teams spent an age standing around at half-way talking to each other before QPR kicked off. Obviously they realized they were both safe and QPR agreed not to launch a last-ditch attack. There was absolutely nothing to lose for QPR if they had done so.

Also, Cisse was celebrating ecstatically with Nasri after the game. I wouldn't go as far as to say that QPR deliberately conceded any goals, but I think it's probable they heard they were safe prior to the final goal and switched off, and also that they agreed with the City players not to attack after the final goal.

So what if they did? What exactly do QPR owe Manchester United? Do you recall United and Blackburn having a little kick-around last year for about 10 minutes as both teams only needed 1 point?

Have a look at the replay and watch how the qpr players react after aguero scored that goal. They certainly didn't look like they knew they were safe.

However certainly looks like after the goal they found out and didn't attack after it

To say the QPR players gave up due to knowing the outcome of the Stoke/Bolton game is laughable.

They were down a man and had to defend for 45 minutes straight. They were out on their feet.

In a few of the corners, guys like Shaun Derry were sweating bullets and struggled to get in to position.
