You know what? That's a good point.

Liverpool will be following in the footsteps of other football heavyweights such as Birmingham FC by qualifying for the Europa league through winning the Carling Cup.

You must be chuffed.

Doesn't matter it's still a European competition and considering we ain't much chop at the moment I'll take it.

On the final day, was sitting in the Aussie bar in Phuket with 8 screens showing 6 games, simply a stunning piece of sporting history. I hate united as a Liverpool fan and when aguero smashed home the winner we all erupted. Brilliant finish to any competition I have witnessed. Can only imagine how gutted the united fans were.

Have a look at the replay and watch how the qpr players react after aguero scored that goal. They certainly didn't look like they knew they were safe.

However certainly looks like after the goal they found out and didn't attack after it

That's all I'm saying. And it isn't a case of mutual benefit- losing 3-2 or 4-2 made no difference to QPR. The only reason they had to not launch a last ditch attack was to do City a favour.
