its real funny.... the only side i think that wont have much fears of melbourne is the warriors. they seem to do ok in melbourne. if my memory serves me right they actually knocked the storm over in mebourne just before the finals last year.

That's right it was round 24 last year and our only loss there in about two and a half seasons or 29 games

Olympic Park of Course. I'd like to see if they have any advantage on a sunny Sunday arvo at the more cavernous Dome/MCG however.

Easiest: Cowboys at DFS. Apply some decent pressure and they'll wilt.

I do hope they win though. The prospect of playing the Warriors in a GF qualifier is frankly a little scary.

Wasn't aware the Warriors had 4th spot.

Why not mention Telstra for Canterbury and Souths or Parramatta for the Eels?

Timmah, I don't understand it.

The Bulldogs have been CRAP at home this season, wouldn't you want an away final (just not in Melbourne)?

The only real chance of an away final being accessible is Brookvale tbh and I can't see us losing to the Cowboys.

Melbourne by miles, Mt. Smart second, DFS third and Brookie after that.

I doubt anyone would be particularly worried about the Bulldogs at the moment.

I reckon Olympic Park would be pretty hard to win at for 8th place, and Brooky would aswell. I'm not so sure about DFS, but look what happened in Broncos v Cowboys in 05! Mt Smart - I am not sure about. I think Warriors will win it no matter what.

If it was Manly having to play either Melbourne/Cowboys or the Warriors I would want to play the Warriors hands down, their home record over previous seasons is nothing impressive. Melbourne are the obvious ones I would want to avoid.

If i had to choose out of Brookvale, Dairy Farmers or Mt Smart where i'd least like to go it'd be Brookevale easily. We have an appalling record there whereas Dairy Farmers we've won more games there than we've lost (6-3) and Mt Smart we have a 5-5 record. Not to mention that we won at MS and DFS this season and lost at Brookevale.

If you go on past history, the only home final ever played at Dairy Farmers was against the Broncos when they Cowboys beat them for the first time ever. That was a pretty hectic home crowd and I imagine will be similar this year in week 1.

So did Newcastle, now that I think about it. A Johns was the difference that night.

Brisbane too. Matai threw a speculator when all he had to was make three steps and fall over to tie up the game.

We have only lost once at home all year so bring it on f**kers.
I just dont want to meet the Bulldogs, i would rather meet the storm at brooky than the dogs, brooky doesnt seem to bother the dogs one bit just like telstra doesnt bother Manly, or any other team in the nrl lol.

and Storm have only lost once at home in two and a half years. Doesn't mean they're unbeatable come finals time at home this year.
