Because they already announced before Covid that the first week of the finals would be played at home grounds.

Those changes don’t clearly disadvantage the teams. Taking away a promised home final disadvantages the Sydney teams. ANZ was always on the table for week 3, the only way it would’ve been Parra is if we played the Storm and Covid wasn’t a factor.

You can’t play the second biggest game of the year in front on only 15k fans. End of story.

If the storm lost we’d potentially be playing them in two weeks and the roosters in the gf, that is as tough of a finals run you could ask for.

It’s funny, 2 of the teams on our side of the draw we didn’t beat during the year (in those particular games, I know we beat Parra later), but I’d still much rather our side of the finals draw than the other.
