I've heard a rumour that Firman will play premier league this week and Head will be half against the Warriors. Hope the rumour turns out to be false as I think Firman is a better option then Head especially now that Barrett is out.

This had better not be true. The guy was given all of last year to prove himself, which he did and if this is true, he's been given one game this season. If Head is selected, then there are issues at Saints and Brown is right in the middle of them. While I think Brown has the potential to be a great coach, but if he starts favouring his flegg boys, Ill lose respect pretty quick.

Ribs, in now way am I bagging you, but can you clarify this statement??

I mean:

Do the players look like they're performing any rehersed moves?? No.

Do the players seem to play with any discipline?? No.

Do the players play with any real kind of structure at all?? No.

Are the team selections fair & reasonable?? No.

I just don't think he's First Grade material until he sorts out things like the above. At this stage, I can't even say that he's an improvement on the Easter Egg, save for being a new face in charge.

Cheers,
Ben S.

What on Earth is going on? :x

I had so much hope for this season and with a full complement of players everything was looking good. Now we're coming up to only our second game and we're suddenly down Bailey, Gasnier, Barrett, Firman. It's starting to look like this year may already be a write-off.

At the moment I'm desperately trying to convince myself that an 0 and 2 start is a decent springboard for a successful season.

How did Penriff start 2003??

And their coach didn't come from a "winning culture" either...

But seeing as we jumped ahead of schedule & booed them off the pitch 5 rounds early, perhaps we can skip ahead & write them off early too??

Cheers,
Ben S.

I cant believe this decision by Brown. The only thing i can think of its a disciplinary matter, and Firmo has done something wrong?

You're getting a little mixed up there SS. Andrew Farrar took over as head coach when David Waite was shown the door. I didnt like it at all.
Nothing to do with Brown though.

Yeah I know all that
But I'm saying Waite should still be there but he lost out to pointless factional brawling from Illawarra
Then it was like they wanted to appoint a St George person to fix the rot

The St George person should have been Waite from the start
Farrar should have never got a look in, I've had a bit to do with Waite and he knows his stuff

No arguments from me SS.
Ofcourse we dont know how things would have gone two years down the track and perhaps Waite would have moved on last year anyway.

When Waite became the GB coach, I was happy for the bloke. I was asked on a pommie forum what sort of coach Waite would be. All I could say was that Waitey would lift Great Britain and close the gap when they play Australia.

if you had to pick the coach most likely to be sacked first most would probably pick Langmack at Souths

but Nathan Brown is firming by the minute

Oink !
