Season 2025

Laurie is sub standard & can’t hold a candle to Luai. For the b grader to make ur 17 u would have to experience a severe injury toll in ur backs. He couldn’t cement a spot our NRL team when we had a reserve grade std backline.
Yeah, he used to swim up to the surface of first grade, splutter, wave his arms about and sink back under. Of course we didn’t have much of a side to save him.

As Vic says, he’s a very nice young man.

How much bigger omen do we need hahaha
Spooky.

We are all a tad unusually up this pre season.

It’s a bit unnerving and given my Stockholm Sydrome, I’m feeling a bit nauseous and sick with the prospect of us becoming competitive again.

We are even round one favourites.

My therapist is going to be a rich woman.

No more suggesting that I follow the roosters.

This is the 20th anniversary as well of (I may be bias) the greatest GF of all time.
Dare to dream.

I think, if we are using all our players, we are in desperate trouble and the season is lost.
But we now have a bit of depth for a change, even though I think a few will be replaced over the next few seasons.

6th – Wests Tigers

Jahream Bula, Lachie Galvin, Jarome Luai, Apisai Koroisau

There are four quality players in the Tigers spine but Luai is responsible for the quartet instantly shooting up so many places. Bringing the 28-year-old over to Concord is a huge coup for Benji Marshall and the whole club.

Luai impressed in 2024 with Nathan Cleary missing games but that was in a well-drilled Penrith machine, under one of the best coaches in the modern game – he’ll have neither to lean on in Tigertown. He’s got the big contract and been made co-captain, now it’s time for Luai to deliver for his new club.

Galvin will only improve in 2025, giving fans and pundits a better idea of what his ceiling might be. Koroisau should thrive with a bit less responsibility and the injection of Laui’s playmaking ability.

I found this article interesting. The author has us with the 6th best spine but I don't think the Eels and the Cowboys look much better if any better than our spine.

Tommy Turbo & DCE are enough to have manly higher than 9th.

The Q mark I have with our spine is Bula.I don’t agree he can be regarded as quality yet. This is a big season for him as he needs to establish himself as worthy of the fullback spot otherwise we need to be searching for a superior option.Turuva is definitely an alternative who is capable of usurping Bula.

I sort of agree but at this point I'm betting for Bula to have a big season. I also think Turuva could take the spot and he'd be good there.

I don't really have a problem with our spine and even the depth in the spine. We have Latu to fill in the halves and Turuva could easily slot in the fullback spot. TDS can replace Api as well.

We’ve certainly got some very talented backup at 6 7 & 9 in Latu & TDS.If only LL was taller as he could be a sensational fullback.Hes tough & his carries are intense..As ive said b4 I reckon by mid season this kid could very well tie down a wing spot.

I figured he had to be an eels fan....as for Brown being part of "arguably the best halves pairing in the nrl"....really?!

I think it’s good that they are not rating us, just hope the clubs are as well.
As for Bula, he is another season older and had injury and a shit team in front of him, this is his year to shine.
I think he still managed to be our highest try scorer the last two years?

Hopefully Bula’s father in law gives him constructive appraisals re his weekly performances
