I think O'Brien will get the flick first....I think Gould will back Barrett until the Dogs season is done ladder-wise.

Holbrook needs the blowtorch applied. They've made some big decisions and gone all in with their halves, fullback and a couple of big name forwards... but still can't play good footy for more than 25 minutes consecutively seemingly. Possibly disrespecting the cows but they shouldn't be getting lapped by them like they did this weekend
A set of halves that hasnt' played much together, one of them playing very limited games. It's not surprising really, but next year if they gell and start getting to know each others games better, it could be very different.

As for Barrett, he has like 4 games to get a couple of wins, as due to the draw he has been provided a bit of rope.

Next 4 games are :

Roosters : Losing to the Dragons makes me scared that we will pay the price with a fully switched on Roosters.
Raiders : A match we should be in, but any major fades could see this blow out.
Knights : Knights are great on paper. Probably turn up for this one. Ponga to have his one great game of the season.
Tigers : Lose to the Tigers and it's all over.

I see Barrett being provided a little more rope if he can win 2 out of those 4. But I have my doubts as it's fitness of the squad holding them back a lot.

Dogs need to have this decision early so we can have first choice out of Ciraldo or Flannagan which really seem to be the only 2 stand out options. I see Flannagan getting the nod due to his runs on the board at the Sharks and his availability at short notice. Whether he wants to start straight away is another thing. Maybe an oversee role with one of the assistants taking over for the rest of the year while he sorts through whats what.

Barrett brought the bearded fat f**k with him from Manly to keep your boys trained.

It was the only good thing Barrett ever did for Manly.

Not sure how Ferris has a job. If I'm getting a personal trainer, and he looks like that, I'm giving him a hard pass.

I'd be surprised if Ciraldo isn't locked and loaded at the dogs

You'd hope so. The team Barrett picked up wasn't good by any means. But with the purchases for next year to add to what we have, you'd think a good coach could make them competitive. Really we had no choices when Barrett became coach. Who'd risk their career on that lot.

Warriors need to get on the phone to Tony Smith quick before Leeds snap him up. He's exactly the coach they need. Great at developing young talent and knows how to create a club culture. He's a bit out there but given the years of Warriors under performance they don't have much to lose!

At this stage Barrett is the one firmly on the hot seat with O'Brien just behind him.

I think Kevie Walters is the smoky.

Holbrook, Brown, Stuart, and O'Brien should be all gone based on their rosters and expectations.

Barrett should be gone as well. They had a lower expectations but they're still the worst team in the competition by a significant margin.

Barrett has to be the first sacked. Aside from one season where Turbo and DCE scraped Manly into the finals his teams have consistently underperformed. He had jobs where success was pretty easy with his roster and resources but still failed.

Panthers Under 20's:
2013 - Premiers with Garth Brennan as coach
2014 - 9th place with Trent Barrett as coach
2015 - Premiers with Cameron Ciraldo as coach

His time at Manly was not much better when he had a pretty awesome spine with Tommy Turbo, DCE and Koroisau but could only manage to scrape into the finals once out of 3 seasons. Only to be elimiated week 1.

Yet somehow that career resume got him the job at Bulldogs where he's now enjoying a 14% win rate. I don't understand how he ever got the Manly gig in the first place, or how failing with that roster led to him ever getting another chance.

His 2014 effort looks better on paper than it actually was. The only reason we got 9th was he was moved with about 6 weeks to go and Brennan took over again and we went on a run of wins to just miss the 8. If Tbaz kept the job it's more likely 14th.

I thought it said who do you wish gets sacked and voted accordingly.

to be honest though

Ricky won’t quit or get sacked , if we copped what NZ copped yesterday there would just excuses

‘Barrett is a myth , always has been …. He was a myth when he played too , it’s amazing what good looks and high profile will get you

‘The rest …. Eh … you’d think Madge , Kevvy , brown , hook … in that order
