Michelle Pearce.
The first Frenchman to play in the NRL/NSWRL was Jacques Moliner who played 1 or 2 games for Penrith in 1987.
IMO it just raises the issue of why it took so long, even USA got 1 before France did.
The USA player you are referring to was a winger for Titans. But he was raised and played all his professional career in Australia.
Remi Casty was born and raised in France, and played all his professional career in France for Catalans Dragons before joining the NRL.

Because others don't find the need to be as pathetic as the OP of this one.Was Craig Gower the first Italian player to score a try in the NRL/NSWRL, ARL, NFI, ANFI ?
If so, why does he not have his own thread ?.
Correct. So USA got 2 before France got 1...What if he was referring to the second rower from Newcastle?
Even South Africa has more tries than the Frogs.
Surely Dimitri Pelo counts, he was born in New Caledonia which is a part of France.
The NRL didn't exist then.
NSWRL was a regional league. IIRC Brisbane and Canberra joined in 1988.
NRL began in 1998.
