Wow.

I don't think i've seen a Knights team where everyone was available for selection!

The bench positions are certainly hotting up, lots of competition there.

Unchanged backline :(
Interesting that Taufua and Cross are the extended bench though. Still I want more Sau.

Also: this game and the Cowboys game we've had two heavy benches. I know Tolar can play second row but we've effectively got a utility and 3 props. Cross and Taufua are props so that's a heavy extended bench as well. Happy to see Royal starting again though.

i don't think that team means anything at all... the team would have only got back to newcastle today (assuming they didnt travel after the game last night i guess). i doubt smithy has even thought about it yet.

we need our absolute A-Team forward pack for the game, and they need to turn up with fire in their eyes.

i don't see how you could reward wicks for a string of mediocre performances with a starting spot in the team on one of our most important matches of the year.

I thought he went alright last night.

And now he gets to prove his worth against the best pack, as I said I reckon he'd be up for it.

You're 100% right - that team means nothing. They're in the sky right now as we speak ;-)

Well I'd say Smithy knows what team he's going to have run out on Sunday, so I'd take absolutely no notice of that team. Who knows, it might stay the same, but I wouldn't rule out some changes either.

ha ha

Will be interesting to see how Vuna's leg comes up...to be honest it didn't look too bad from how he 'did' it on the field. We'll see anyway. Very strong team!

As I said, they're not back yet, so how are they supposed to have any idea on how injured Vuna and Tolar are?

Wicks played about 20 minutes last night and still managed to miss more tackles than make.

His role is impact off the bench.

It pains me to see him start.

Any combination od Simmo/Cross/Royal/Tolar will do the job for us in the first 20-25.

You weren't replying to me were you :p I'm thinking exactly the same, which is why I really haven't said anything about that team list as a result!

Smith uses Fa'oso and Wicks in quick 15 min bursts and it seems to be working. He hasn;t been that bad to be honest I think some of you are wishing he gets dropped so tafua can have a game, I dont think his from warrants getting dropped.

Last night according to nrl.com wicks made 6 tackles and 5 hit ups for 64m i think his bench spot should be given to someone who will put the work in.

Geez his stats are poor.

I swear I thought he worked more than that, atleast in attack.

I'm still not a fan of his defence though.

Wicks is just too big in todays footy. Needs to drop at least 8 kgs to have any hope of playing at a consistent level.

My team for this Sunday would be:

!. Gidley
2. Vuna (if unfit Uate)
3. Sau
4. Doogs
5. McManus
6. Bailey
7. Mullo
8. Tolar
9. Bedsy
10. Royal
11. Simmo
12. Housten
13. Taia
14. Hilder
15. Patto
16 Faz
17. Cross
