My pick is that either Nicols or Richardson will sneak into the first side in the first month or two of the season.
Both very highly rated and may take the place of Benny Smith.

tbh I think Taulima will be much better for the run and is the sort of guy that is going to be a star under the guidence of anderson whil etu will finally make an impact in firstgrade as he would of done had he not been injured this year..

That may be so stagger but I reckon we will see a smoky or two in the first couple of weeks to be sure.

I think we may see a few smokies aswell, Richardson could come in as a good hole running centre pushing benny on the outter. Also Mannah might come in to make an impact, Horo and Etu also making the first team.
We could see something along the likes of:

Hayne
Etu
Richardson
Inu
Grothe
Keating
Finch
Cayless
Keating
Mannah
Hindy
Paulo
Mateo

Horo
Hauraki
Fui
Cordoba

We must remember that anderson will have no real relationship with players other than Cayless, Hindy and Burt. He will obviously know of Finch, Hayne and Inu. I doubt he will play favourites, and alot will depend on form in the trials rather than reputation.

Guys like Paulo and Cordoba who looks more like a backrower to me may be the biggest winners because anderson wont come in with preconcieved ideas. Guys like Reddy and Burt may lose out to bigger, stronger more skillful players like Etu, Wright and Richardson aswell.

Heaven help us if those lighter guys end up like B.Slater or C.Smith. :sarcasm:

If Slater and Smith didn't have a gorilla pack and a large centre pairing in Inglis & Falou, maybe they would be playing more like Hayne & Inu did this year. ;-):sarcasm:

I'd love to see Greg Nichols get a run in 1st grade this year!!

He's another one who knows how to find the try line and was pretty handy at the bears

Watch this space!

I'm hoping there'll be more than a couple of smokies to put preasure on the current andmore established first graders.

* Etu will be ready to make the step up.

* Grehan has the ability to be the perfect replacement to Wags.

* Jono Wright has the size and speed to compete at the top level.

* Brod Wright will be ready to make the step up after playing the game of his life in the gf.

* Justin Horo will unfortunately have to overcome an injury or else he would of been up there, he may need to bide his time.

* hopefully under Anderson, both Oake and Lowrie cab find a new lease of life.

* Latimore and Mannah may well be surprise packets for round 1 if they show and play to their potential during the trials.
