Hull KR swoop for Fitzhenry the finisher
Hull KR's preparations for a second season in Super League have led them to sign the Australian utilty back Daniel Fitzhenry. The 27-year-old has been granted a release by Wests Tigers and has agreed a two-year contract with another year option.
Rovers secured their top-flight status with Sunday's 42-6 win at Hull FC, and had already signed the New Zealand three-quarter Jake Webster and the Wakefield wing Peter Fox. Fitzhenry, Wests' record try scorer, is expected to be joined by his Tigers team-mate Ben Galea before the end of the week. The club held talks with the Hull full-back Shaun Briscoe last night, although he has also been targeted by Wigan and Wakefield.
Dissapointing that Galea didn't get a proper send off - thats poor.
