OP Fail.
Thread title says 60 years, yet OP has only included players of the last 30 odd years...strange?
Needs more Billy Smith.

You obviously don't have a clue about the English players:

Alex Murphy was 1960s.
Tommy Bishop and Steve Nash were 1970s.

Billy Smith wasn't in the class of the 17 listed.

So , 1 (one) from each decade and you think Billy Smith missed the list ?
Really?

Sorry arsewipe, but you need to back up your opinions better than a casual dismissal. On what possible basis do you make the judgement that Billy Smith was an inferior player to all of those listed? No doubt you also think Langlands wasn't much chop as a fullback, Raper was a run of the mill lock, Gasnier was fast but that's about it, and Provan's main attribute was general tallness.

I'd like to state that this thread is stupid. What percentage of people here have seen or researched enough about players from prior to the 80's to be able to make a judgement?

Hence why Johns, Langer & Stuart will score highly.

Not saying they don't deserve the praise, but despite the intentions of the poll, the audience participating means it is skewed towards modern players excessively.

Also, many could comfortably argue that it required a unique skill to create with only the 5m rule.

Compare like with like. Go by decades, not over 60 years.

Completely stupid poll
