Father is still living in Sydney. The little bro could stay in our junior ranks in Wollongong and Jacob could easily move back in with his dad if a clear path to first grade is offered by a Sydney club and we haven’t locked him down
He has been the clear stand out of any player in all lower grades for us, while i would have had no faith in our prior administrators and coach to get it right and hold onto him, I have faith that Flanno will.

They rate him very highly and I don't see how we would not hold onto him. If he ended up leaving, it would be because he wanted to leave, not because we didn't do everything to try and keep him.

You want any of these?

- Jack Wiiliams. 28 y.o. Three year contract.
- Joash Papilli. Fullback. Six tries in 36 appearances. Released by Bulldogs.
- Jordan Samrani. Big center. Released by Bulldogs from 3 year contract.
- Dean Hawkins halfback from the rabbits contracted for 2 years.14 NRL games. Coming off a season-ending jnjury.
Ryles is re-jigging up the roster cleaning up the mess the bald fraud Brad Arthur left.

But if we lose Gutho for 2025 its a real risk we finish bottom 3 again.

Moses/Drown will have to stay injury free otherwise its going to be a real disaster with a Rookie FB, Mediocre 9s and a backup half with Moses or Brown.

Gutho as a 14 is a good insurance policy for 2025 while we look to strengthen our squad for 2026.

Moving on RCG, Sivo had to be done. As much as i love RCG he was easier to get off our books due to being wanted.

No one wants dead ducks in Lane, Matterson or Paulo as much as i would love to piss them all off.

Not to pile on your agony, but signing those four is not going to help you. Maybe Hawkins to back up Moses. And as you say, no one wants those three forwards.

Our list looks okay by comparison.

Surely u don't believe gutho will be there in 2025. Why the let him look elsewhere early then?

Fair post, but I cant see Gutho being a bench player whilst he is still playing well and is only 30.

Next year will be his 10th at Parra. He has played over 200 games for the Club. Look, I have no idea if he's coming to us or not, but I have always been a fan. He's a smart footy player and looks like a fine leader on the field.

Yes, I think he’s one of the most passionate players in the game.

I think ( like us) you’ve lacked a solid leader for ages and some tuning up there would go a long way.

Fullback is an ideal leadership position as it is so intense and requires significant focus and communication skills but he has a range of options.

He’s also a very tough player and Flanno is a tough coach. Certain synergy and hopefully expectations in motion out on the park.

He has some good skills in his own right.

The more I’ve watched him play, the greater appreciation I’ve had for him even if he might not be the next big thing and all that.

Does anybody on here know who is really coming to us ? Apart from Val Holmes and Cooke , I'm losing faith ...... I for one want Hunt gone and I don't care who plays 7 but I have a feeling he will be here next year ........ Anyway we might get a surprise soon , let's hope ......... And just on Hunt if he is here next year we need another Captain not him ........

Flano has been very quiet this offseason compared to last year when he was in the news every week.

I’m hoping he can land a few more quality signings to give us the squad we need to make the 8.
Yeah, he was in the news but he was very reluctant about building false expectations.

I think he was wise enough to understand the disappointment of the end days of Mary and Hook.

I expected the club wanted more glitter from him as false promises are usually a solid short term fix and for some reason, clubs think we are all dumb with memories of a gnat.

But he stayed cool for cats!
