Flanno's New Signings

I wouldn't put too much faith in Buzz Rothfield's predictions. So far he has had the Knights, then the Dragons, and now Warriors favourites to sign Hazleton. He is guessing and knows as much as you and me as to where Hazleton goes. Does Buzz now have the right to say "I told you" when Hazleton signs with someone. He is guessing and he changes with each new club Hazleton speaks to. He hasn't mentioned the Roosters and we all know that the Roosters usually strike when they HAVEN'T been mentioned.

Many of our signings often occur when no one knows about it. Got to say I kind of like it like that! Keeps all the rumours and the ongoing boring narrative and speculation away.

I hope Hazelton is coming to the Dragons. It would be so good if he could come for the 2025 season.

I think Flanno made a lowball offer but invited Hazelton to give us last dibs after searching the market. Now it is time to return to Flanno with the results of his search and Flanno will seal the deal.

If Hazelton can't be released until 2026 (like Atkinson), we still need an additional experienced prop for 2025.

As soon as possible we need to off-load some more deadwood:
Lawrie
Rafalawa
F Molo
M Molo

These players occupy top-30 spots but are not needed in 2025.

I heard from the same source that told me about Illias joining months before it was announced that Hazelton is more or less a done deal at the Dragons. My source has heavy links to the Sharks. All this talk with other clubs is just to get his dollars up before he signs the dotted line. It will be for 2026 and not before unfortunately unless Saints can pull something out of the bag. Surely they can do an immediate swap for Molo and Hazelton. That would be ideal.

Thanks for the insight, 2025 would be great but i am happy with 2026 if its a done deal. I am confident unless someone pays a ridiculous amount Flanno will get his man. The will tell !

Dont disagree but unlikely we will offload any suggested this late unfortunately. Im still interested to see if a fit & injury free Lawrie can play like 2023.

I've lost interest in Lawrie and believe he has had enough time/chances to step up to the plate. I now feel that there is a good chance of a Molol / Hazelton swap for 2025.

Emre plated okay on the werkend but I thought the big guys from Easts really smashed him a few times. It is hard to be a single bookend as you get all of the defensive attention.

Disagree. He played awesome for his first real game with us, rattled a few ribs in defence as well. Don't recall him getting smashed but he isn't running at little wingers all game it's not an easy job

I honestly don't invest any feeling into signings any more.
I kind of know Flanagan knows who we need but can't control who we get.

It's not worth getting worked up to be deflated each time.
In the offseason, the signings merry go round is amusing to pass the time but now I’m just ready for the footy.
Let’s get on with it.
