I don’t think Talagi was ever coming to us. We had been chasing him for months so he had plenty of time to sign with us if he really wanted to and out of nowhere he is Penrith bound from the looks of things. Me thinks a lot of managers know we have money to spend and are desperate to sign players and just use us to bump up the price of their players from the club where they actually want them to sign with.

Yep, it's an easy sell. Sign here, have success & rapidly improve your development then cash in on your next contract with another team.

We need to show players they can improve in our system & they can have success too. Until that's shown, it'll be very hard to get high calibre recruits.

Recruitment all round has been a massive joke these past couple of years. It seems to be free for all and aren't there some rules governing when players can be talked to and signed up. Yes I know there are but by the way things are being conducted now, it is snow balling one on the other. The usual suspects are the winners and the also rans the losers. What a joke.

The "prime" clubs get the cream as always and clubs like us get the sour dregs. Come on Flanno get Holmes, Saifiti, and a couple more decent guys now before they disappear elsewhere.
