Hey Gareth….if he departs early, it’ll be the 2nd greatest milestone in Dragons History.
Sacking Mary still Number 1 in my eyes. LOL
You cruel sod Coffs ! Leave Mary out of the equation thank you very much , he has been one of our more successful coaches in recent times . 😳

But should someone take Mr. Hunt off our hands then it will give the Dragons a clean canvas to paint upon and Flanagan to use his coaching genius to truly build the team afresh .

I dont think you could describe Hunt playing for the Dragons as origin quality, he was only origin quality in origin with a bunch of origin players around him, he was also playing as a 14, he certainly has done nothing for us a 7.
also, not on the field for the eighty either

Now the club has given permission for Hunt to negotiate with other clubs, he finds a new home. Don't care if we see him playing hooker.

Hopefully, with the cash on the table, we can nail the signing Flanno is interested in.

You would hope, a new half is on the way as Flanno refused to release Hunt last year. With all the carry on, just insert name here, and I'll be happy.

Not sure about that, I think he is worth a look especially if the Tigers chip in the bulk of his salary, he signed with Tigpies for 4 years so a 3 year deal with Tigers chipping in overs is a worthwhile deal
Yet another example of clubs offering excessively long contracts. Three year contracts are only for proven players that other clubs are also chasing. Not players like Sullivan.

5 year contracts are for self-motivated champions.

Agreed, Hunts 5th tackle bombs were probably a 30% chance of result for Lomax.. it was Hunts pet play at every opportunity.. Lomax has a few more errors from silly flicks and what not.. but you are right, almost all of them would be chasing attacking kicks.

Its similar to the fullback missed tackle stats that people put far too much emphasis on.. frankly you want to see plenty of missed tackles from your fullback, as they put their body on the line.... even if its a 5% chance of stopping a try, knocking an arm, getting a limb under the ball.. anything.... The king of "no missed tackles" was Dufty, always go for the intercept... or supervise a try being scored from a safe distance.
Didn't Dufty "escort" the try scorer over the line. 😁
