think Sione is gone.. he was my favourite of this years CTui/SFin/Tamale generation, if not for his injuries he would have done half a season in 1st grade.

The kids below are a long way away in Kirk, Williams, maybe BRumble could play wing.

But if SFinau is leaving in 12mths time anyway, id be fine to let him go early.. lets just see how it pans out.. I think he is the starting right side winger though.. JAC would be left side starter if he came.

personally I want Sloan at FB, but I’m seeing Flanno thinks he needs a year or two.
Tuipopotou did way better than I expected this year, and although he deserves the shot next year, I’m still not convinced his the best option. Lomax is gone, Rav is on the way out and regressed this year… Allen. Hasn’t played for ages, well that leaves Matt Fegai as my #1 winger at the moment, with Finau or tuipolotu the other choice.

And that is why I am baffled thst some people on here say we shouldn’t go after Fox , If he agrees to all terms and agrees to behave himself he is 10x better that’s all those options

I've always thought Sloan would be well worth a shot on the wing - give him a Blacklock like role and I think he'd kill it.
There will be the people who will blah blah blah about the way modern wingers are "meant" to play but a good coach would work out a game plan around that. We had a guy last last season who I'm betting none would have predicted would have turned into one of the NRL's top wingers and would become a rep player at SOO and International level before the season started.
People talk about his physique but frankly I see very little difference between Sloan's physique and the physique of JAC and he's survived the NRL just fine.

The main thing I want from Flannno in this period is sensible contracts. Look at the Tigers. A 4 year contract for Bateman at $800 with two more years to run!! He is 31 y.o., and he says he has no plans to go anywhere. Excruciating. How did that happen?

Remember how Flanno was tough with JDB. One year, not two. That is the kind of negotiation we need.

I agree & I might be in the minority, but I really do hope we don’t get JAC.
I have doubts about a bloke that needs to tattoo his name on his neck to remember & yet can’t remember the truth when in trouble. I question him being the right fit & character. He’s no Ricky Walford or Nathan Blacklock that were great club men & role models.
