League - $400k per season

AFL - $1 million per season

Its not a very difficult equation is it

For the people sprouting the usual loyalty crap. You guys are living in a dream world if you expect anyone to take a paycut of $600k per season to stay in Rugby League

This just looks so desperate on the AFLs behalf. Signing a player like Folau who hasnt kicked a ball in years too a big deal just shows what they are about, what about the youngsters who have been playing for years etc. great message they are sending out.

Also, yes it will grab some attention (like cuties decision) but people will soon realise this for the gimmick that it is, they think this will turn people into AFL fans, especially here in the west LOLLLL

No one gives a sh!t about the "sport"

Haha, well good luck to him. He will need it.

Honestly, atleast cutie had some of the basic skills. Unless you are allowed to barge through players on your way between the posts, Folau will be useless.

well, he's the AFL's problem now.. can't see him being too popular with some other AFL players who can't get 1mil even after playing the game for 10 years.. let alone 0 games

Not yet 21 and it's all about the money, see ya Izzy don't let the door hit you on the way out. QLD should not pick him for Origin he has pissed on this great game for cash.

And as for not being able to play Fumbleball  Anyone could play that joke of a sport.

Fondling goats - $1.3 million per season

I suppose he'd be doing that if the price was right.

You honestly expect anyone to give up a guaranteed $1.8 million in gross salary over 3 years just to keep playing rugby league? Sorry but speaking as a Bronco's fan if Isreal turned that down and stayed at Brisbane he would be a complete idiot, not to mention greatly compromising his and his familys financial future.

To put that in perspective, that is in today's dollars what the average Australian earns gross in 30 years.

Looks like Lote will be on the wing for QLD in Origin II.

Sorry Izzy, but your time is now up.

And as for K Hunt, who appears to have made it his mission in life to turn as many NRL players away from the game as possible, GET FARKED YOU BOGGLED EYED DISLOYAL TWAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How ironic.

That's a hell of a lot of money for Folau. I've heard Ablett is meant to be on about $1mil a season? I just don't understand Folau choosing AFL over union - at least onion is slightly similar to what he's actually good at.....
