There is no doubt we have been courting Izzy for some time, and this no doubt lead him to pull the plug on AFL.

So... you would think the NRL would be patting us on the back for the huge boost we have given the game - and for partly sticking a knife in the GWS/AFL heart. If the NRL are the cause of the delay then it is pretty ordinary.

I am not saying we should be able to exceed the cap, but some slight concessions given the circumstances would be in order surely.

the club should have went to the NRL first if they promised Folau a spot

if they offered him a guarantee then they shouldn't have done so unless they were sure they could deliver on it

You mean the club that said they would have to release 10 players to be in the market to sign TRex, they went and got him then signed everyone except Stagg who was coming off the bench.

Well they must have been planning to release 10 players on minimum wage (or about $65k each) if that was going to be the equivalent of T-Rex's salary.....not that I saw any Dogs officials making that claim (you might be right). And they have let go Stagg, Super Jonathon, Bryson Goodwin, and Luke MacDougall (retired) as far as i know.

I'm glad they got him....I'd rather have a shot at Izzy than T-REx.
