Figured I'd start this up.

A few nights ago I watched the most amusing piece of Japanese comedy ever

RoboGeisha

damn....just damn.

Also, another good piece was a movie called Fatso, about an overweight male virgin who fantasises about his hot swedish room mate.

And as far as drama goes, I watched the Round Up a few months ago, about Jews in Nazi occupied France, being rounded up and sent to camps, mostly to be killed etc. Focus is on a little boy who is seperated from his brothers and family.

My two favourites are Lagaan, Once upon a time in India and Dreamship Surprise.

Once upon a time is an epic Bollywood movie based round the early days of Cricket in India.

Dreamship Surprise is a pisstake on Star Wars/Star Trek, very funny.

The Oldboy (and any of the trilogy) is an awesome movie.

So are Battle Royale and I Saw the Devil.

I've got a mean fetish for Asian cinema, Korean in particular.

RoboGehsia is just one in a series of recent over the top gorefests from Japan like Machine Girl, Tokyo Gore Police and Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl.

REC, and Battle Royale are two live action films that come to mind.

As for animation, Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, or pretty much anything from Studio Ghibli.

Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced. From Norway. Basically it is to Boy Bands what Spinal Tap was to Heavy Metal bands. A really good piss take.

Can't disagree with what you've got there. Battle Royale is Tarantino's favorite movie so that probably says how good it is.

My gf is addicted to Miyazaki films. Princess Mononoke is prob my favorite one out of them.

Tarantino is a thief.

Lagaan was a great movie, caught that on SBS one night and got it off an Indian guy at work who was so surprised I'd even heard of it he gave it to me lol.

J'ai toujours rêvé d'être un gangster - French film. There's no subtitles on the video but search it out, absolute great film.

John Woo fantastic action movies with incredible shootouts that include a dual wielding Cow Yun Fat and unlimited ammo  Watch the first 3 and you will where a lot of directors drew inspiration from.

Great movie, pretty f**ked up though, I didn't know what to make of it til I realised it was a black comedy.
