I love Moylan, I’ve lost a fair bit of respect for him, but I think he’s a jet. But, he is soft and doesn’t like doing the hard stuff. He becomes gun shy every time he gets hit hard, last night was just another example, He’s too soft to ever make it as a gun FB. I think he’ll develop into an excellent 6.

I don't agree, particularly last night. Hodkinson tried to take over and run the team and it didn't work. In the first half Chad and Moylan were running things and they looked much better.

Yeah, Moylan at 6, running the team, that’s what he needs to be doing, not worrying about defusing bombs and making try saving tackles.

Watch the replay of his 2nd half, he gets nailed and from then on is ineffective, he threw bad passes and dropped the ball 2 or 3 times. Because he was worried about being hit again. I don’t actually think he took the line on again.

Moylan is looking like he often he did with us. A few moments of brilliance but otherwise a lot of passes left and right with no real thought about the overall direction of the attack. He can’t lead a team around the park.

It is remarkable how much the Sharks’ attack tonight has looked like ours in the last few years. They couldn’t score a point within the 20 m zone. They looked flat and directionless.

Moylan has no kicking game. He will pass, so unless there is broken play on the back of great forward momentum the defence read his plays. Usually in the 20m zone the defence is set and that is where he really struggles. He created one try in that situation last night, but other than that his best moves came further down the field.

I thought he had a good game, but his limitations were there for all to see. Deja vu for Panther's fans.

A bit more in attack. Fullbacks these days are like an extra 5/8th.

Coote aved 62m per game when they won the comp. Barba 82m when Sharks won. GI and Slater the other 2 FB of the last 5 years both ball play a bit.

Need a bit of both in his game
Edwards did ball playing in the juniors. I expect he will do more once he feels settled in first grade. exactly the right move in my opinion. Slater added ball playing later in his career.

Has a very handy short kicking game these days. He's got repeat sets every game this year.

Maloney showed us last week what a good kicking game looks like and so did Cronk last night. Cleary's one dimensional midfield bombs or Moylan's grubbers are not enough. A full range of tactical kicking is a must in the modern game, at least one of your halves need to have it. JT does banana kicks, reverse kicks, kicks against the post, kicks to the wings, bombs, kicks for touch, kicks into empty field and grubbers. His doesn't have a huge clearing kick though, his one weakness.

You are right though, I said 'no' kicking game. Let me expand on that and say Moylan has a limited kicking game.

Hiku looking pretty good at the Warriors. Lovely little pass to put Fusitua over. Copped a nasty elbow to the face for his efforts

One of many to play better before or after being coached by Hook. In his case both.

Although he's still terrible in defence.

As this round progresses the teams we've beaten continue to prove how shit they are.

This years ladder is going to be wildly different from last years and from what anyone predicted.

Eels on 0% wins
Souths on 40% wins.
Bulldogs on 20% wins
Cowboys on 20% wins.

Once we beat Eels we will have played teams with a collective 4 wins out of the 20 games they have played.

Has a team not only playing at its ability but beyond it!

Well that’s not sustainable. I hope for the Tigers and Ivan’s sake that they have improvement left in them. If they are already playing beyond their ability, they won’t be competing with the teams that aren’t, as they improve.

I get that you are trying to have a dig at Hook, but this isn’t the best way to do it.

If that was against us you'd say it was a good win and don't be negative.
We win against shit teams its impressive.
Tigers beat Storm twice in 5 weeks and the excuses flow as to why its not impressive.

We have 1 win against them in more than a decade. Under Ivan Cleary. Maybe. Kust maybe hes a decent coach. How many coaches have a better record against Bellamy?

Regardless of how we are going and any other team for that matter. I don’t think the Tigers are playing amazing football.

They are solid in defence but their attack isn’t great. They just seem to keep finding a way to win. Which is a good thing, but I can’t see it lasting.

The Storm have been extremely clunky all year, Croft is no Cronk and needs some time.
