You can’t know it was losing Blake specifically that allowed us to sign Apisai. We first lost DWZ, it was very likely Maloney was moving on, likely Ivan planned a big cleanout. You’ve talked about that yourself.

We know now we’re in the market for a centre.

Fair point, but it’s obvious we’re short at centre. We have very little strike in our backline at all.

I doubt Maloney was signed expecting to play in 2020. So the cap would say as much.. So lets look at the other 3 that is gone.

I didn't think anyone was dumb enough to take RCG. For me a centre is the final piece of about 4 or 5 we need. So why not take the offer that comes up? The quicker money is freed up the quicker the roster gets fixed

Even if you’re right, they could’ve moved on Edwards, Whare, Mansour or a combination of the three.

Instead we moved on one of our only strike options.

Agreed. Just not sure where this talk of signings has come from. A lot of the posts directly break the forum rules.
