Great article CWB  !

I had no idea about the status of league in the US, so I found it informative and encouraging. Anyway, excellent start - go Easts!!

Some very good articles. Once again ozzie has had a superb run, and yours was great as well Bubbles.

I've got a good feeling about this round. :)

Bubs, that was billiant, I laughed so hard at your last sentance that the kats ran out of the house. If I ever scored a try landing chest first, I'd probably bounce and it would be considered a double movement.

Oz, if you get back online in the course of the game, I have posted your article for you. Not only once were you a Warrior your now a bloody CHAMPION !!

Ozzie, superb article mate - made my five minutes of pain seem incredibly insignificant! Although it was cheaper than breast reduction surgery!! :D

I've got a good feeling about this round.

I see your good feeling CWB and raise it with a  !

Pen, I was lucky to slide at all - got some pretty major brakes happening!

Actually, age, gravity and big boobs never stopped me from playing. Complete lack of skill and absolute fear have worked against me. For those of you old enough to remember Jerry Lewis playing Grid Iron in one of his movies, would best describe my ability.

Age and gravity. I dread the day I have to deal with their effects. Not firsthand, of course- but I'll feel bad for my girlfriend/wife/mail order bride when it starts to effect them.

Ozzie, you make me want to go out and get myself hurt so that I can write about my own experiences. In my two dozen odds games of league I've been lucky enough to avoid any real injury. One concussion and one bad case of 'teeth in my shoulder', but nothing worth an article.

Pen, do you know when you'll need me next? Just want to get myself prepared in advance while I have spare time. Assignments and performances will swamp me soon enough.

Without quality refs this comp is up sh*ts creek, let's hope that fact sinks in.

To sink in, the ego's would have to be smaller than the game. At present, it seems that some are not, nor are they likely to.

I agree, and it cuts me that so much of all your time is given solely to make this a success. And you have to spend more time explaining what is basic common sense. For us in particular, we've lost a brilliant player so that the comp has non-playing refs.

At the end of the day the most deserving team will win and the most deserving player will get Player of the year. ;-)

OK, after some persitance on my behalf I've secured an email interview with the one and only Hugh McGahan with hopes of turning it into a forum7's submission.

At this stage, I haven't formulated a proper list of questions, but I have a few in my head. I don't want to wander all over the place and I'd like to make some sort of point with the article. I'd like to question him about his time at the Roosters/New Zealand and also ask about his thoughts on the game as it is today, and also a current hot topic (there's so many to choose from).

Anyway, my point... I'd like some ideas as to questions to ask, topics to focus on etc. Any input is valued.
