I don't know where you read I hate turning off ad blockers in other threads because
1 I don't know how to turn off add blockers.
2 I understand this forum gets revenue from advertisements.

I do appreciate the tip of clicking on the x if I don't like an ad. Never hear of that before.

I downloaded chrome and it didn't make any difference.

Considering all the insanity happening around the world at the moment this is a minor issue.

Huge congrats to Tigerm on getting it to work.

I meant to say you sounded annoyed about it, it doesn't matter mate, I was just highlighting that ads on a free forum is a necessary evil.
Yes indeed the war in Gaza is sicking, poor civilians on all fronts and forum issues are trivial.

I might indeed hate turning off ad blockers but for all the searching online and within my computer I don't seem to have an ad blocker to turn off.

I guess I can always post a reply that says "like" or "angry".

There are some posts by others I would love to click a " you're a dickhead" button. Just as well there isn't one.

Nutz suggestion to go to Google Chrome (and delete/clear browser data), front page of this thread, worked for me, but it doesn't have a dickhead button.

If you're on a Windows PC, you could try using Microsoft Edge and creating an app for League Unlimited and see if the Like button is there when you use the app.

1. Using phone or computer,
2. What type of browser,
3. What problems are you experiencing ? Is it just no thumbs up, messages etc?

Just be patient with my replies mate as I'm in hospital and I might need to come and go.

I am using a lap top
I use Firefox but have tried chrome just for forums.leagueunlimited with no better results.
Yeah just the thumbs up stuff.

All good mate. Have a read of this. I use duckduckgo with a vpn for everything except the LU I use chrome with LU whitelisted.
Have read of the link below, scroll down. Use 2 different tabs, one for and opened LU screen and the other for this link so you can make the adjustments.
Dont forget to restart then just open LU again and if necessary turn off the adblocker again. Good luck.

Have been having high battery drawdown on my phone of late.

While on my computer, google sent a message that I have a high data usage, that would be affecting my phone battery, when I had a look, the culprit was our beloved forum. Not sure why or what has happened, I've always had the forum on my set screens.

I have never had that warning before?

Anyway, I closed out the forum and the battery has stabilised, it's only a short test so far, but if anyone is having phone battery problems, it may be worth a look?

@macnaz any chance if you could ask the upstairs guys, if this is normal?

I'm not having phone battery problems as I only view the forum from the desktop, but the other day when I opened to the app to post the other my Kayo stream came to a complete standstill, so I'm surprised about the high data usage.

Its a bit strange Google sending you a message about your data usage , your data usage is between you and your isp for your home or your mobile service provider for your phone.

It was something about heavy usage.
The fact is I don’t use google for LU? Though I do use Google for some sites.
Turning LU has certainly helped slow the battery drain, I couldn’t go an hour or two without it getting very low, even when I wasn’t using it he phone.

Sounds like spam to me as Google has nothing to do with data usage as that will be reported to you by your provider eg telstra providing you have notifications enabled in setting for telstra to do so as macca said.

If you go to my files and click on battery it will tell you where and what is drawing the most power. WiFi and Bluetooth are killers.
Put your battery protection mode on too so it stops charging when it's fully charged. I've got mine set at 95%.
I got an award from LU the other day congratulating me for viewing 1 million adverts on the LU site, I got a trophy too

I told a lie, I do use google on my iPad, LU was the only one that was mentioned and it appears to have improved my phone?

Data use will only show on your phone as browser usage and isnt specific as in which websites such as LU ,Bom weather and pornhub etc

PS .. did google offer some app or program to address this issue ? Seems like more like a spam message hoping eventually someone will think yeah imaybe i am using heaps of data ...thanks google , then use something they sell or offer.

Didn’t really look, but as I said, I have seen some improvement in my battery, maybe it’s my imagination, but it was just strange that they only mentioned LU, with their logo as well?
I wished I could have taken a screenshot but I was on my laptop and don’t know how to do that.
