Four Broncos cleared of sex assault allegations

Don't know if I'm a fan of closing ranks. That's great for for those that are being investigated, the other 22 blokes in the squad all get treated by the media as suspects in the mean time.

Last night I thought we had a real shot at knocking over the Storm, right now unless this is something that brings the player group together ala the Bulldogs in 2004 I'd give us buckleys of beating them now.

Please let the media run with this circus...the more pressure the better.

Just like Greg Bird, oh wait....

I personally didn't agree with that one either, innocent until proven guilty is how it should always be.

However as a Broncos fan I've got to ask wtf were these guys doing out at this time of the season. We go to every game to cheer you guys on, you work so hard & then f**k up at the very end. :x

Smart lads...

Something in the air.
One bloke at work sacked today because of booze apparently, another went home sick after an hour severely hung over, another crook as and as useful as a flyscreen on a sub....then tonite two kids punching on out front my joint, I find an empty bourbon bottle on the lawn...noticed the full moon at the same time.

Quieter in downtown Baghdad.

Probably nothing more than a grope of a boobie

So what if it is? No one has the right to feel up someones breast. It's a disgrace.

And so they should, we are in the middle of a finals series and to be honest they are INNOCENT till proven through the courts.

Greg Bird?

The Broncos claim that they have extremely tough guidelines for players. Well then prove it Broncos. They gave this list of 5 players they've sacked for off-field instances in the past 20 years. A lot of other clubs have as well, and apart from O'Neil none of your 5 have been top-level players. Most of your top-level players who offend off-field get off with nothing but a fine.

Also with the 3 players named tonight in the news(I can't find an online source to post here), with the calibre of players that they are then judging by the Broncos history there is no way they'll be even suspended by the club.

The Broncos can't come out and talk about how tough they are without showing what they have actually done in the past to prove their point.

Which channel and which news program?

And I'd like to see a list of broncos who have gotten off with a fine after off-field indiscretions. Who were they Razor?

I remember Benny bagging the Roosters for having a problem alcohol culture. Funny how these things can come back to haunt.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Seymour-NRL halfback at the time, or had been that season
Costigan-NRL bench at the time
Lacey and Te Reo-First grade hooker rotation

Also a source for the bolded would be nice...but I expect none

You may be right, Razor. I recall something about Tallis and Sailor spitting...

Either way, I doubt many clubs would sack a player for a minor infringement, like drinking, at the wrong time. O'Neill had multiple incidents before he was punted. Note some clubs have kept players on despite charges being laid and court action taken.

Anyway, it's a matter for the QLD police.

Do you know what top-level means? It doesn't mean first-grade. It means top-level. Players that clubs don't want to lose, and can't be easily replaced - like Carney and Bird. 2nd rate players don't count. None of those 4 would have been punted had they been Lockyer, Webcke, Tallis, etc.

LOL. So their first grade hooker rotation and their first grade halfback are second rate players and losing them doesn't affect the team at all? Not to mention a young forward they had put a lot of time and effort into with a view to the future....rightyo then

A halfback who was playing reserve grade at the time - so therefore hardly top-line
2 Hookers - They weren't the full-time hookers anyway, but considering neither of them could cement the spot showed that they are hardly top-line
Costigan - Hardly top-line. He was a bench player.

You really are deluded if you think each club has about 20 top-line players.
