Anyone give the Poms a chance of beating Aussie?
The way the draw falls we can't even throw the game against the Pom's to eliminate Aussie as they play Samoa after we play in the final week.
And us losing by 50 points to Poms would look a bit suss!:sarcasm:

Look at how Australia's forward pack was demolished against us. Now look at the England propping rotation; James Graham, George Burgess, Chris Hill, Tom Burgess.

I give them the best chance they've had in at least twenty years. Hopefully Matty Smith is fit to play next week, it's amazing that he's been kept out so long (I've said it before and I'll say it again, McNamara is an idiot who has been wasting England's best team for ages).

Hopefully the performance by the kiwis gives the English pack some extra confidence. That Samoa game was pretty brutal around the ruck from both sides so they'll be warmed up at the very least.

I'm assuming Inglis will play. Poms are definitely are chance, but Inglis at fullback could be the difference, regardless of whether the English pack dominate. If it's close at the end, my moneys still on the Kangaroos.

The Poms will be more familiar with the play of the Aussies - I cant see Widdop, Burgess Bros, Graham playing as quietly as they did against Samoa.

C'mon England!!

yep up the Poms.

They couldn't ask for better motivation than being cheated with the Ref situation.

If their forwards get off the mark Aussie are in trouble.

If England win the ruck they will belt Australia....playing 14 men or no.

Yeah.. unfortunately with the ref situation I'll be surprised if they are allowed to win the ruck. The Kangaroos will likely be straight back into their wrestle/slowing tactics with no/little punishment, and they (most often Thaiday) will probably be once again allowed to come off his 10 metres way too early. Ruck interpretations may well decide this one. Boy I hope England win, just to spite Australia.

I'll be cheering for England more than the Kiwis this week. Imagine how awesome it would be, just for hilarity and for the game, if Aussie and Samoa are fighting for 3rd spot next week. Shit Samoa would get up for that game, it'd be brilliant. I really think it would be an inflection point for RL that goes down in history in the unlikely situation that Australia lose three in a row.

TL;DR: f**k THE KANGAROOS AND THE ARL

So damn true. They used illegal linesepeed in the WC final and the Anzac test last year on us. Thaiday is the absolute worst.

I'm hoping like hell the poms get up!
But the media will down play it all talking about the top talent that pulled out and nothing to worry about, after the first 24 hours of panic reporting!

Man tough last call on Ryan Hall, in slow mo looked a try by letter of the law and then not to get the drop out is a double screw job!

Very unlucky for England, technically he placed a single finger on the ball as it was on the ground - not really sure how that can be ruled anything but a try? Would have made a big difference, possibly England in the final instead of the Aussies...

Playing against Australia with Australian officials is not a level playing field.

Another very good game. Really thought England were going to run away with it, but thought they went into their shell for too long in the 2nd half and let the Aussies get a roll on.

Thought the last call was a try, but not surprised it went against them.

I know a still image can be kind of deceptive at times, but they slowed the replays right down and had this exact view at the time. Still don't understand how this isn't a try. If they had sent it up as a try they would have come back with the green light, surely?

So, lets smash England and hope Samoa win? Who is with me? :p

The best/worst part about this - when Sam Tomkins questioned the ref as to why it was given no try, Sutton said that Hall had touched the ball after it had left the ground. Obviously not the case from this picture.

Cheats.
