After FT in the Wahs Tigers game, Vossy said as he went to a break, "Parramatta and Melbourne, Cameron Munster is back, live right here on THE HOME OF RUGBY LEAGUE"

A couple of points
1. I have no problem with the claim given how badly Nein have treated RL over decades.
2. Is there copyright law or similar preventing them using the phrase that Nein claimed?
3. Did Fox get their lawyers to look at that and decide to roll the dice?

I suppose not.

The beef between Channel 9 and Fox is pretty intense at the moment.

Plenty of channels claim to be ‘your/the home of ???’ Without having any right copyright/patent.

Anyway, Channel 9 is more of a granny flat - only show 3 games out of 8 most weeks. (I know that changes with shorter rounds during SOO & over the final 5 rounds with 1 extra game on Saturdays, but Fox League/Sports wins.

Nein is probably unhappy that Fox is willing to invest more to support the NRL (like in the case of the Dolphins). Whereas Nein’s modus operandi is to invest as little as possible (how else do you explain Matt Thompson?) while devaluing our game as much as possible.

It seems most people have over reacted (like the ABC website, other media & some fans - not Captain Apollo who mentioned ‘if’). The Daily Telegraph article said News Corp was ‘evaluating options’. Anyway, it’s not as though any possible sale would be completed like a used car by 5pm today (or even by Monday).

As fans not involved in the media, let’s just wait & see how it plays out - who knows if there’s even a sale or how long any possible sale takes to finalise etc.
