Farah complemented the NSW halves and has an assured future in the Blues team, but has one enduring problem.
He has a reputation for being selfish, which wasn't helped when he tried to sneak between some big-bodied Queenslanders seeking a dummy-half try, while his teammates were poised for a quick second-last tackle passing movement.

Interesting point on Farah and basically I think it is true. He has killed us with these plays before.

Anyway - I thought that run was okay but he does have to realise the quick pass from dummy half when his team is on the attack is often the better option.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing. it could be argued there were better options to be taken, but Farah took the right option with good service for pretty much all the time he was on field.

Deserves to hold his spot FFS.

Haven't seen anything about his 40/20 attempt that went out on the full (granted, I haven't been looking - perhaps there has been much said about it...?)

If he'd nailed it, and put NSW back on the attack with 5 to go, it would have been hailed as an "Origin Moment". Instead, he miffed it, and it will be consigned to the error count along with Carney's woeful penalty kick-for-touch. But at least he tried something on, while everyone else just stood around with their hearts broken.

I think the kick though was the right option. It didn't come off but it was worth a shot.

Is selfish the right word for it? Perhaps he tries to do it all himself but selfish implies he is going for individual glory rather than team glory. T

Anyway, I thought it was the right option, because he went ever so close to scoring. It took some fairly phenomenal awareness by Matt Scott to hold him up.

I'm not sure why he does it - who knows if it is selfish or just wanting to win. The point is that he sometimes takes the wrong option.

I'd like to see him get that out of his game and truthfully I haven't seen it much this year.

There was 4 mins 5 secs left on the clock down by 8... should be applauded for having a dig. Only missed by 2 foot. I did see a few haters on twitter bagging him over it however.

He didn't take any wrong options on Wednesday. The 40-20 attempt was a last ditch throw of the dice (game was over anyway) and he had to try something.

The try attempt from dummy half was centimetres away from a try and only stopped due to a fantastic effort by Scott.

Robbie is an instinctive player, so if he sees something is on he will go for it. No other current NSW hooker has that skillset, certainly not Buderus nor Ennis. He has taken the wrong option in key times for us at club level, but he did nothing wrong on Wednesday night.

Creagh for the size of him is rarely sighted or involved
.

You know, Creagh does a fantastic job for the Dragons, you'd even say that many supporters from many clubs would happy to have him in their team but and here's the important thing, there are players who cannot do it at that next level.

How do you find that out though? You can't drop them after 1 game but Creagh has had too many chances.

I'll wait for the incoming from any Saints supports now :D

If Farrahs breaks were supported he would have looked even more impressive.

That crap was written by Roy Masters which is a good enough reason to disregard it. As Hybrid wrote, Farah was very close to scoring an important try there. It was a good option to take.

Totally agree brave last ditch option. At the ground someone pointed out to me that no one in nsw team gave him a pat on the back or anything gallen may have glared at him. Not sure if it was realisation of the loss or a lack of respect for him in the team. Probably the loss but hopefully he is selected again because he was great on the night!

The one thing most peole haven't realised is that farah had to play a fair amount of first receiver as well. Thre were stages in the game where Carney was lost & not keeping up with the pace of the game, so farah spent time at first receiver with Pearce at second.

Thats possibly one of the most vital aspects of his game that puts him ahead of his opponents for a blue jumper.

I reckon Carney will be much improved for game 2 and that in turn will help Farah concentrate solely on being a 9

I thought we won the forward battle on Wednesday thanks to Farrah. Ennis has stunted the Blues for to long.

In fairness to Ennis, it isn't his fault the media have run the anti-Farah campaign for so long.

It IS the selectors fault that they fell for the made for it BS

On the way home from work today I listened to the guys on 2GB. Fulton actually said he outplayed Smith on Wednesday night. Block chimed in with and he is an 80 minutes player now (even though they gave Farah a 7 minute break), Fulton agreed.

What a player he is and what a leader. He was fantastic today backing up, a real tough as nails performance.
