Friday Night Checklist

Here is a checklist of things you are likely to need or would like to have going into the Westie Wembley or the Western Fortress on Friday Night:

* A ticket - this is handy shall you want to enter the ground. You could be like Skull and attempt to find a vantage point outside the ground but a ticket is the better option.
* A Red V - a must for Semi-Finals. It doesn't matter what type or era it comes from, on Friday night don the Red V. It epitomises the tradition and pride of St George like nothing else.
* Get there early.... preferably before 5.45pm. For two reasons.... to mark the Army's territory in the North-East Corner and also to give the Premier League lads the reception they deserve.
* A scarf, flag and/or banner. If you own a banner or flag, bring it along, if you own a scarf, bring it along.
* A pre-match beverage - settles the nerves like nothing else. You don't have to start at 1pm (I know of people who are) but a quiet beer or 3 at the game helps settles the nerves and produces a little bit of the mongrel within to get yourself fired up.
* Your voice - the next four games are away games as far as I'm concerned. hence they don't like us and we have to hate them. Bring your voice loud and clear. Be ready to sing for up to 160 minutes. To do this, you may have to bring along a during game drink or two to keep the vocal chords ready.

And last but not least, do as Gasnier 3:16 would tell us to do:

F#CK ME, FIRE UP!

Unless alive103 is SOMO he forgot to reference his post ;-)

I should have quoted his work. I must apologize to him before I get sued for all I own.

In a similar manner we should quote NSW police SS before the use of the word "supports" and "hangs" and we should also cite Doust when we use the word "brand".

I've gotten a three metre extending pole in there before, you should be right.

If there is room penrith stadium usually are happy to accomodate such flags and their poles. But 20 000 is a pretty tight squeeze and I'd suggest they'll probably ask you to put it away to accomdate all spectators in as much comfort as possible.

If you're going to be with The Army, we won't mind a flag or ten being waved in our midst...

Only an hour until the turps start again for Newcastle Police's offender of the month in August.

Those turps of course will be in his hangs!

Raging Rylesy can hang(s) out with him, and act as a buffer zone for us...

I think he has pre-empted the Family Hill viewing arrangements beautifully, LOL!!

Rylesy trying to break his record tonight of 4 beers in 12 minutes..... I reckon he can do it in 10. He's been training hard at many unofficial drinking sessions.
