Friday Night Finals Football

I'd rather play Brisbane than Parramatta...that's seems the concensus.

Parra's backline is very good, and our backline has been forced into a bit of a reshuffle with Manu and JRo going down/out with injuries.

Brisbane would still have Hodges and probably Hunt, but without Lockyer, Berrigan and Tate, it's just not the same.

Keep Mannering off the wing. It was the game against Parra in 2005 (one of the first games in his career) where he was exposed bigtime. Wouldn't want that happening.

Rubes will play. In 2004, he suffered an ankle injury in the final round and SOMEHOW played for Canberra in week one of the finals the week after.

Gatis should start. We need a fast start and Gatis is able to cause havoc around the PTB early on. Fien's the right guy during the middle stages of a game - he can do the same against a tiring defense, whilst adding a kicking option too from dummy-half. Not all is lost for Nathan though, his last finals appearance in 2004 with NQ, he was excellent and almost led the Cowboys to the decider.

I don't endorse Mannering going to the wing, it is just something I can see Cleary doing.

Maybe his hand will be forced this time, and he will play Ah Van on the wing. I hope he does.

Despite Manu's pain it was a shame that he surrended the ball i.e. - let it go so close to the line. Luvky we had cover to stop a try.

Am I being too hard on the guy?

Yes, you are being harsh, having torn my medial ligament a couple of years ago, I thoroughly sympathise with Manu and don't hold the dropped ball against him - the pain is intense, to say the least, and I wanted to throw up when I did it!!!:(

Ah Van into the team is all that required. Putting Mano on the wing is suicide. The man needs to be in the second row or just stay in the centres...Both Para and Brissy would be challenging. People saying they prefer this team over this team is stupid. Lets not get arrogant aye

Everyone get emailing Sky asking for Channel 9 commentary as an option. Unlikely but its worth a shot.

maybe not even be possible due to ch 9 most likely showing the game delayed here in aus.

Be worried guys the best backline in the comp is coming. The eels have a sweet record in the land of the long white cloud. Good luck :D

Meh, we'll see how they go after a quick turnaround on a most likely wet Friday night at Mt Smart.

It'll be an interesting match. Their backs have the potential to do some absolute damage but I am positive we can dominate their forward pack if we bring our A game.

Warriors v Eels at home
Played 10
Warriors won 6
Eels won 4

Eels have beaten us in Hamilton a few times though.

I guess that performance against an hugely crippled Broncos wipes out the performances against the Dragons.

Should be a cracker this weekend. Bring it on I say, can't be intimidated by their performance today.
