In other news, Parramatta officials will today decide whether to appeal against Fuifui Moimoi's nine-match suspension but, even if they do, the Eels are resigned to being without the impact forward for the rest of the season.
Should an appeal be granted, it is likely to occur during a busy week for the NRL judiciary after several incidents in yesterday's match at Parramatta Stadium, won 46-22 by the Eels over Manly.
Sea Eagles prop Jason King (dangerous throw) and five-eighth Michael Witt (high tackle) were placed on report, while centre Steve Matai faces a contrary-conduct charge over an alleged grapple tackle on Eels winger Luke Burt.
Referee Tim Mander described the tackle that left Burt with two grazes on his chin as a "headlock".
Parramatta captain Nathan Cayless also required medical attention after being concussed when he was tipped on his head by King in the fourth minute, while Witt hit Mark Riddell with a swinging arm in the 59th minute.
There were also suggestions Manly forward Ben Kennedy had been the victim of a grapple tackle but he said he had been dazed. "I just got a knock in the head and I was a bit rattled for a while," Kennedy said. "There's no drama, it's just one of those things. There was a bit of whacking going on."
