Fultons intercept passes

Great running half back with great pass selection at times. Cannot tackle nor kick a ball that is the problem.

The reigning premiers will probably disagree with you

Yeah because they signed him he's automatically a great player.

They wouldn't have touched him if Bennett was still going to be there, he doesn't sign heartless players.

Madunit, Lui missed 11 tackles last week, he missed 1 last night and made 20 odd. That's improvement.

I won't deny he's been poor for most of the year, but credit where credit is due, his defense was not diabolical last night.

They probably should have consulted you first.

I'm not the one who thinks he's a superstar.

Most overrated and overhyped player who has ever played for us.

As for Fulton, why the hell they have him taking hit ups when we are coming off our own line is beyond me. He should only ever touch the ball when we are out of our own half. Our use of him borders on insane.

Can we at least agree that Molzen is better option at fullback then McKinnon?

Most of the hacks here have been saying the opposite all year...

Moltzen only needs to learn positional play, to contest bombs, to take kick returns and to support ball carriers other than Benji. I'm hoping that his next good game will be for the Tigers and not St George in round 14 next year.

Personally I think Brown is a better option than both of them put together, and I feel he should never have been dropped given his performances at fullback last season.

However it has only been in the last 4-6 weeks where McKinnon has gone way off the boil. Before that he was not as bad as was made out on here, and was certainly a much better option than Moltzen.

With Tuqiri back next week, I would love to see Brown at fullback for the rest of the season.

Ive got a feeling that Brown is not in Shine's fullback plans this year...

I think he would pick Ryan there before Brown, however even that is a better option than "the statue" McKinnon...

I can't understand why. He was fantastic last season. To me he seems a fairly safe player. Decent under the high ball, runs the ball back HARD from kick returns, does not have blinding acceleration but he is hardly slow in full flight - didn't he run down Kevin Gordon in the last round last season?

I agree with you, but Shines has made up his mind and for some reason he is on the outer at fullback, and its laughable that he puts McKinnon and Ryan there in front of him...

his tackles, bar about 2, were unneccessary third man in tackles.

he should be credited with at least 2 other missed tackles which lead to tries, but because he didn't mark up on his man, instead on the space between two players, and made no attempt at a tackle, they don't get included.

his positionally, especially in defence, dumber than a stadium full of AFL Fans

lets be fair it was the fifth, the ball was passed to Lui who was standing too flat and he pushed a flat pass with defence on top of him. He should have been deeper to put in the kick.

I blame Lui and no one else for that, the two men outside him were not expecting the ball, which esplains why they were so flat, they were getting ready for the kick chase.

My observation & thoughts exactly

Not arguing with that, just saying it was an improvement over last week.

it's still a shithouse performance and personally I cannot see where this great ability Lui supposedly has, is actually located.

Maybe it's drop outs?

I might be in the minority but he cops an undeserved pasting at times.

His first kick admittedly was poor, straight to Bowen.

He then got us a repeat set from 20 out and a try followed in the next set.

He kicked from half way and it finished a yard inside the dead ball line.

He kicked from inside his 40 and put it almost over the dead ball line after a bad bounce - with a good bounce that would have probably been a 40-20.

He needs to cut out the errors and improve his defense obviously, but he's not as poorly as some make out. I actually think he has quite a good long kicking game, just needs to find some consistency with the boot.
